When Reka started providing grooming services for our daughter's pom, Hobi, she gave us a lot more than we could ask for. She showed compassion, patience, and what even looked like love towards Hobi and we knew instantly she was a huge advocate for all breeds. She taught us about his coat, how to clean him, what foods would be great for his coat and also which foods to avoid. She would even keep him longer so he could learn social skills. A few months later we adopted a new fur baby pom, Frat, that had never really had grooming services and was very fragile from being attacked and unfortunately losing an eye. We immediately called Reka and her team, gave her a short intro on him and she got him right in. His coat was matted and he was traumatized after having surgery to remove his eye. Even before we made the decision to keep him, I called Reka and told her about him and my concern for him losing an eye, and she reassured me he would be fine and be able to live a normal life. After speaking with Reka and after she gave him a wonderful makeover, we were reassured he would be a great fit to our family. He's moving each day and keeping up with our other kiddos and puppies as if he never lost his eye. Hobi and Frat both get serviced by Reka and her team and they always come home fresh with their fancy hair cuts and new neck jewelry she gives them and they smell sooooo good and they their coats are beautiful. Our family owes so much to Reka and her team as they have helped us have our fur babies and she educates us on anything we ask about them. We have never seen so much compassion and hard work and we love they're not just treated like a ticket item! I know my review will be disregarded and not taken seriously, but I’m going to tell exactly how my last & final experience with puppy lodge Gluckstadt was. Firstly, the lady who “GROOMED” my dog last time was there and allowed another lady to “BUTCHER” my baby. The 1st experience was great and the groomer did awesome. Honestly, my dogs gets matted/tangled due to her rolling in the carpet as it is a habit she has. Hear me out, she has been supper matted before and never been shaved this low. I took my baby to the puppy lodge on Wednesday and the owner was informed of my dissatisfaction on the same day and STILL has yet to reach out to me. I cried for 30 minutes after seeing how pitiful my dog looked. My dog was even crying, and if I could post videos I could show way more. The lousy groomer called me Wednesday after I dropped her off and told me she would have to be shaved lower on the legs due to her matting which was fine, but to completely bald my dog is insane. She had missing patches of hair and her cut is so uneven and straggly. I mentioned to the groomer today once she finally called me that a previous groomer never cut her this low even though she was matted, and she told me maybe that place was a better fit for me and my dog. Bad experience at both locations. Gluckstadt and Ridgeland. My Yorkies haircut is uneven. Opposite of what I asked for. I paid before I could see her. In addition, her nails were still sharp. Had to go somewhere else on the same day for a nail grind. FYI… I didn’t realize how bad it was until we got home and I checked everything.Very upset and unsatisfied with Saturdays service. I am done with both locations. Never again. My opinion would be to research and find excellent groomers with excellent customer service for the prices that are charged. Maybe a bath and brush. But definitely NOT a haircut from puppy lodge.

For the owners response- yes, I tried a few different times. However, it is always a hit or miss. Never consistent. The lack of communication seems to be a big problem. Furthermore, you mentioned “complimentary services”. That implies that I received a service that was free and that is so far from the truth. Others may have had good services at your establishment. But I have not. Maybe once or twice. So if you call being ignored when picking up my fur baby on the first Gluckstadt visit good customer service, you’re wrong.
