The Taco Stand Taqueria - Riverview — Restaurant in Riverview

As someone that knows and loves real taco truck food, I literally googled "taco truck near me" and found this wonderful jem. 36 miles away but absolutely positively worth it. Started off with an asada taco and al pastor taco on corn tortillas and Mrs. Peña got two asada tacos on flour tortillas Usually not a fan of asada but they hit it out of the park. Very flavorful and moist with a nice char. Al pastor is my usual go to at new places and it did not disappoint. The amount of flavor packed into the pork was amazing. Next on the order was a torta de pastor. The bolillo was fresh and again the meat was awesome. Big portion that will be lunch for tomorrow. Mrs Peña also ordered the Taco Stand burrito. A behemoth stuffed with asada, rice and bean with all the fixings. Absolutely delicious with a solid half left over for tomorrow. Last up was an order of carne asada fries. If you have never eaten them before you definitely are missing out. Thick cut fries that are a perfect crispy, golden vehicle for the juicy asada, cheese, guac and pico. Now I have had asada fries in many different states and count myself some what of a connoisseur and these were hands down the absolute best. 10/10 will be back and without hesitation 10/10 would recommend anyone near or far to stop in and enjoy a great mexican taco...

I had to return to this review and delete my previous comment. I visited a week ago now and my last experience was by far thee worst! I grabbed lunch and when I made it to work and sat down to enjoy my first bite, I was disappointed! My steak tasted grill burnt like it was over cooked. I called because I couldn't take it right bk. The young lady claimed she understood my complaint well when I went back around 330 that afternoon I again had to explain my concerns. She claimed she couldn't understand, they offered to replace it but by tht time the taste ruined it so I didn't want more. Never offered me a refund so I said make me a new one so I can give it to my mother but the correct way. I then asked for a bottled water instead of one of the tacos, she tried to charge me for it. If I only wanted one of 2 items replaced why not give me the water when the cost was less? She handed me my food with an attitude. Said have a nice day but in a condescending manner. I love the taco stand on Allen road in Allen park, so I was so excited with the opening of this one as it's closer to my house, But I had ordered ten tacos and chips and salsa, which I have the receipt I was charged for both and than they forgot my chips and salsa and the tacos were wrong and dry. Also charged me for extra red salsa which I did not receive. The cashier working was very very rude about it and said I didn't pay for the chips and salsa when I came back to pick them up after I called them and showed the receipt. I have no idea if this is different management or something but they have below mediocre tacos and and bad service. Seem to be money hungry! so be careful and check your receipts!
