Not happy at all with them. I bought a used jeep a couple of months back. It didn't start today and has been sluggish to start. I went by Autozone and they told me that I had a bad battery. It was an O'Reilly Super Start Extremes under a year old. I took it to O'Reilly to warranty it since they come with a 3 year warranty. They tested it and said the battery is good and the problem is my alternator. I bought a new alternator and paid someone to put it in for me. When I brought the old one back to them I noticed that the voltage meter was saying the same. I had them retest the battery to see if the new alternator was bad. It failed as well. So they took the old alternator to the back and tested it and it passes with no issues. Then I had them take the battery to the back and they tested it. IT FAILED. Autozone was right. I was given the option to pay someone to put the old alternator back on and they would be glad to refund the money that I spent on the part that they misdiagnosed. I decided to keep the alternator because I would be out of pocket about the same once paying for the mechanic to replace it. NOT HAPPY about that. Then I asked them to honor the warranty since it was under a year old. Battery was stamped 05/21. It was 03/22. They said that unless I have the receipt that they wont honor it. So now I have a new alternator that I did not need and a new battery that I had to pay for because the wouldn't honor a 3 year warranty on a battery under a year old. So I am out almost $500 because their store and policies SUCK!!!!!! Won't be back!!!!! Go to Autozone.... Their...
Read moreI went in yesterday for just a spark plug. When I walked in the store was empty. Two employees behind the counter (one closest to the door and another 8’ further). Neither acknowledged me and in fact the one closer to me, Patrick, sees me walk directly towards him. He sucks on his vape and then turn around to non verbally say that he would not help. I walk further and the lady is rocking back and forth. Instead of how can I help you, she said “I really gotta pee!”
Patrick continues to vape and I give the spark plug details. We agree on which one and she goes to the back. She forgot the number so she asks me (from a distance) what it was. I yell the number and Patrick takes a break from his vape to yell over me random numbers just to antagonize her. I have to yell it again.
She explains she is a merchandiser. I give her cash and she has to go get a key to unlock the drawer. Poor girl...she is obviously in need of a restroom the entire time. Patrick walks to the back as we finish the transaction and the asst. manager walks up. She tells him “Get Pat up here. I have to go pee now! Afterwards I have to count.”
I despise lazy employees and Patrick is the epitome of a bad employee. Yeah, this lady could have more demure but at least she...
Read moreWent in to buy low beam headlight bulbs. Got great service from Rane who helped me sort through all the options. Tried installing them at home but appeared they either didn’t fit or I needed a converter kit to go from halogen to LED. Called Rane back expressing my frustration about him either selling me the wrong bulbs or not selling me the converter kit I needed. He was very apologetic and professional about it and said he would be glad to further help in any way if I come back to the store. At the store he came out to take a closer look at my vehicle when we realized I mistakenly removed the high beam bulb instead of the low which is why it wasn’t fitting. I was shocked about how understanding and polite he was about my mistake that I initially blamed on him. He even took the time to replace the low beam bulbs for me and genuinely did it with a good attitude. Very rare these days to experience this kind of service anywhere. I will only be going to this O’Reilly for parts...
