This location has probably lost a customer for life. I shopped there three times a month and I have never had an experience such as the one that I had today. When I walked into the store, I grabbed a pizza and I went directly to the register. There was nobody there. There was nobody standing in line, nor was there a cashier. I waited patiently there about 1 foot away from the end of the belt until a cashier had showed up. Usually when I shop there Iām OK waiting about a minute because I know thereās not a lot of staff in these locations but when I showed up there was no one there so I open my phone and I do what anybody would do and just Browse on my phone for a minute until somebody arrives. All of a sudden after about a minute and a half I hear the voice of the cashier which is now surprisingly at the register saying the woman behind me ā maāam your going to have to walk around him apparentlyā. ?ā¦. Iām confused. When the cashier arrived, why didnāt she just sayā next in line? ā or ā how can I help you, sir?ā Instead what she did, but she embarrassed me in front of a customer by indirectly, telling me that Iām not paying attention and that sheās been standing there. This is probably the worst customer service Iāve ever seen in a grocery store in a long time. This girl Brianna apparently didnāt want to be there today. When I walked up to the register after she had made that comment, I was apologetic, but also confused in confronting her asking her. āWhy didnāt you let me know you were thereā? Iām the one that waited there waiting patiently to begin with. She tried to nervously rebuttal, but she knew she had no valid response, because I clearly told her that she was not there when I had arrived. I am giving Aldi a 3 to be fair so that it would not be significantly impactful to their overall Google review. Otherwise, on this day they should have gotten a "0" for lack of customer service that day. Recently they hired a new employee and I politely asked the individual not to throw my items in my cart. Brandon, the named employee, continued to do so and told me that is how he was trained by management. I questioned his training he got mad and continued to throw items into my cart. I questioned him abruptly and that is when he went to talk with what appeared to be the manager on site. The manager did not address my concern but sent another employee to ring me out and that person indicated that the employee was new and was trying to be efficient. I advised you can be efficient without mishandling my groceries. I was appalled by the lack of customer service, disrespect for me and my purchasing power. I called the corporate office to advise of their training procedures and explained my issue. I have seen this behavior at other Aldi's and I have addressed the mishandling of my groceries with cashiers and the matter was resolved with what I presumed are Aldi's best practices. My wife particularly enjoys the specialty brand honey yogurt which is absolutely amazing compared to all of the FrontRunners that advertise the heck out of their product
Same could be said for their 4% milk fat cottage cheese. My wife loves it she uses it as a snack with their fabulous cereals which are priced in the world of reality
