It's a department store selling clothing, jewelry and decorations. The products I purchased were just what I was looking for.
A LOT of items packed into this store making it hard to find someone to help. I wasnt looking for anyone but the people who kept stopping me to ask if I worked there revealed they'd been seeking assistance for a while. Maybe because all hands at to be on deck at the registers with store long lines.
Today (December 2nd) after many years of not going into this store because I dont ever really need anything from Kohl's in general, I finally decided to step in there to return a duplicate gift from someone and buy pants. Prices, though the word SALE is listed everywhere, were rather high compared to other stores. The Kohl's cash must help for lowering the costs for frequent customers but if you're not planning on becoming a regular at Kohl's, then it's a little tough to start from a price stand point.
Also, I understand the time of year and the possibility of this store being understaffed for reasons uncontrollable to them, but the lines were out of control. It was probably the wrong time to go, but if you're not into being stuffed into a store like sardines or if you're not wanting to wait in line for a while, dont come here during December. Just shop online because the Kohl's website is rather intuitive. Having to hear "All available cashiers go [here] " for multiple areas the entire hour I was in the store can deter customers (including myself) from fully experiencing the store. I was in the middle of looking for pants and heard/saw how long the lines were getting. I quickly stopped shopping in order to check out with the items we had already picked out because it was getting to be too much.
The Customer Service section was great when I returned the gift. The lady who helped me was kind and seemed to be enjoying her day even with both return lines being ridiculously long. So it's not the employees who are the issue. They were understaffed during a season where people are shopping like the world is ending while being located in a town where shopping IS the...
Read moreI hadn't shopped here since last July, but only due to trying to cut back on spending and to pay down my Kohl's charge. I was expecting all of the summer clothes, mainly shirts and shoes, to be picked over after I missed out on the Father's Day deals. But, I then got another 20% off coupon and waited until the 24th, the last day of the sale which also involved Kohl's cash and triple points for 'Yes to You' rewards. I splurged a little more than I had planned, but am now all set for summer gear until next year. Although I will be returning sometime this week to spend my 100 dollars in Kohl's cash that I got for spending just over 500 dollars, which will also include another 25 dollars in 'Yes to You' rewards for what I spent since it was triple points. So in reality? Spending about 515 dollars, after already being satisfied with the haul I got for the price, I now get to return and spend 125 dollars in Kohl's cash and reward pts and not have to spend a dime for 125 worth of merchandise. So you could say I only spent 390 on my purchases from yesterday, but I didn't. But, being able to return and get the few more things I wanted, literally for free, or possibly having to spend another 20-30 bucks depending on exactly what I get? IMO this deal can't be beat. I love shopping at Kohl's. They may not have all of the top brands, but they have enough, and make up for it in many other ways. I'll end up being able to go get a new vacuum cleaner for free, or possibly just for another 20-30 bucks. Can't beat that!. I ended up with 14 shirts, 3 pair of jeans, and a nice pair of Under Armour sneaks for 515 bucks yesterday. I hadn't ever heard of a clothing line called 'Rock & Republic' before yesterday, but the jeans fit me perfectly and that's not an east task due to how picky I am about the way most jeans fit. They have 2% spandex and 98% cotton/denim. But they're a perfect fit and great quality jeans. Normally 88 dollars a pair and with the buy one get one half off deal, along with the first pair being 20% off? I got 2 pair for about 106 dollars. And couldn't be...
Read moreI used to shop here semi-regularly and it is still a clean store with a pretty good selection of those things you'd expect to find at a Kohl's. But really the only reason I come here anymore are on those rare occasions when I need to return an Amazon purchase. Today I actually considered purchasing some items while at Kohl's but ultimately left without buying anything. The first issue I encountered were that prices on several kitchen items I became interested in were very confusing. Some prices on the items didn't match prices on the digital placards. A couple other items I was considering did not have a price on them at all, and when I used their digital scanner on the barcodes, they came up as items no longer available. I was unable to find an employee either in kitchenware, shoe department, or the clothing department. I suppose I could have walked all the way to the front of the store where I knew there were employees. Maybe I'm just lazy but I'm not willing to put that much effort into an impulse purchase. Besides unless I need something same day, Amazon is my go to anymore.
I also considered purchasing some Levi jeans but the checkout queue was long and slow moving so I gave up. This occurred on a Sunday early afternoon, so perhaps there are employees about the store able to help with pricing inquiries and check out lines move more quickly...
