After multiple, equally enchanting visits to Central Diner, I find my thoughts converging to a delightful consensus - this is an extraordinary culinary hub bustling with unmatched fervor and a lip-smacking array of dishes. Right from the moment you step in, Central Diner presents to you an atmosphere that's brimming with the bustle of a warmly engaging clientele – an unmistakable sign of a popular and well-loved eatery with a near-perpetual pulse of activity. Yet, despite its ceaseless hustle, this restaurant has an uncanny ability to feel welcoming and personalized on every visit. As if each visit is your first, inviting you into a space both familiar and full of discovery. It's more than an establishment; it's an experience, a gastronomic adventure waiting to be savored afresh each time. The menu, an eclectic mix full of tantalising choices, manages to impress every palate, traversing the spectrum from those seeking comfortable familiarity to those seeking culinary excitement. Despite numerous visits, each unfolded a new facet of what this eatery has to offer. An integral part of the Central Diner experience is the staff. The waitress on our recent visit stood out with her proficient service, diving deep into professional empathy to ensure that we were taken care of to the fullest extent. The warmth in her service added that essential touch of personalization often absent in many of today's dining experiences. Moving on to the food, the Chicken Parm here has proven to be an absolute show-stopper. Served generously, it was delectably seasoned and could easily front for more than a couple of courses. Each bite invited another, making it a dish you'd love to come back for. The Poutine was another star dish. Not only was it served in a satisfyingly large portion, but it also hit all the right flavor notes. It was like a sumptuous feast dressed as a side. To sum up, Central Diner, with its vibrant ambiance, delectable variety of food, outstanding service, and generous portions, truly stands out as a beacon of bustling gastronomic joy. While the world outside rushes on, inside, life slows down to enjoy some extraordinary food, one mouthwatering bite at a time. This restaurant serves not just meals, but moments, making it a vital part of the city's ever-dynamic culinary landscape.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. It is located in Robinson township next to the Red Roof Inn. I was heading to one of my regular breakfast places, Eat n’Park. Once I arrived, the line was 20-30 minutes. So I decided to try the Central Diner and Grille since this was on my mind. I often wanted to try this place, but it is not easy to get into from the left side of the highway. Once I pulled into the parking lot, with more than enough parking spaces to cover being at full capacity, I walked by an outdoor dining area. The outside dining was situated next to the parking lot, but make no mistake as it was isolated by well groomed trees. Glancing in there were plenty of tables taken and plenty available. The tables and chairs were all well taken care of and looked brand new. The seating here was well maintained and nicely decorated. Once entering the establishment I immediately felt like I was in a high end restaurant. The score was fresh and new and well maintained. By the way, they serve alcohol! I was quickly and pleasantly greeted and seated. I was given a perfect seat to see what this new place was all about. The menu blew me away! They had a great variety of selections going from breakfast, to lunches and dinners ranging from omelets to steak and seafood. Once my meal was delivered (picture attached) I was able to view other meals being delivered to tables. The portion sizes were extremely generous and they look like they would taste incredible. While the taste of food cannot be verified by looks alone, I think we all know at a glance what the expectation for a meal is partially based on appearance. The only statement I could make negative is that I did not see a counter to sit and dine. I think this would be appropriate for a single person to eat instead of taking up an entire table, and if you want to order alcohol it would be more appropriate here. I may have missed it, I will look for it next time. I am dragging this review out too long… So to suffice, my conclusion is that this is now on my list to try their different foods and beverages. I will be back often. If you have the chance make this location a priority to try!

Absolutely incredible! I was in town because I was going to Kennywood, and it ended up being so good that I came here three times in the span of 48 hours - a steady Friday night at 5:30pm (6/9), a calm late Saturday night at 9:30pm (6/10), and a very busy Sunday morning at 11am (6/11). The service was phenomenal. I had Seth as my server on Friday night and Sunday morning, and he was super attentive and friendly. I had Kaylei as my server on Saturday night, and she was also friendly. The food is where it really shines though! Friday night, I had a side salad and bread as my starter and egg salad as my entrée. The salad was a great portion, the bread was great, and the egg salad was good and filling. I also got a side of fries, which were good. Saturday night, I had a side salad and mozzarella sticks to start. Both were great - the mozzarella sticks were some of the best I’ve ever had. My entrée was the spanakopita with fried rice. The spanakopita was great, and the fried rice was tasty. For dessert, I enjoyed their strawberry cheesecake. Absolutely phenomenal. I still have dreams about that cheesecake. On Sunday morning, I had the scrambler skillet with toast. Outside of my usual meal at a local café in my hometown, this is genuinely the best breakfast meal I’ve ever had. It was delicious and filling. Keep in mind they do not skimp out on their portions. I had a ton of leftovers from Friday night and Saturday night, and I definitely learned to back off of ordering too much food! I also want to give this place a shoutout for being vegetarian-friendly. I have a heck of a time finding options when traveling, so to have plenty of options to choose from AND be very satisfied with the quality and quantity is a huge accomplishment in my book. Overall, this is my new favorite out-of-state restaurant, and I will absolutely be returning whenever I’m back in Pittsburgh! Thank you for making this hungry Hoosier super happy!

This is the best diner me and my wife have ever been to hands down . We past by it the night before and notice it was packed. And decided that on our way back home we would stop for breakfast. So the next day we stopped by and again it was packed. I'm like wow it's probably going to be a long wait. As soon as I walked in the staff greeted me and they where all very friendly and happy. I asked how long would the wait would be and she's like there's no wait at all. So the hostess immediately sat us down. The place was super clean and everyone was being helped was quickly and accurately. Within less then 30 seconds of us sitting our waitress Sarina came over and greeted us and went thru the menu options and drinks. She was so nice and friendly. And very eager to answer our questions. I asked her between to meals. And she could have honestly up sold us on the higher meal and she was very honest and recommended what she thought we would really enjoy. Which honesty goes a long way with us. And everything she recommended was fantastic. I asked if we should get pancakes or waffles and her choice was the waffles which we asked with Blue berries inside and when it came out they had done a mistake and put them on top. Which for most people that would be ok. But I have a weird allergy to eating them like that. Luckily the manager bought the waffles out and explained what had happened. And took it back to remake it for me. Mind you I didn't ask for a manager or say anything. He straight out came and apologized and fixed it without any hesitation. That's what I call excellent customer service. We ate everything we got and it was top notch. I can not recommend this diner, enough. Anytime we are in the area we will be stopping by . And I highly recommend you asking for Sarina our waitress, She is absolutely amazing!..

The service was outstanding! The food quality it okay at best. I also came here for dinner the night before, I was impressed with their Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich. The presentation of the food is visually satisfying however actually eating it leaves me extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. Why? Because the ‘side’ is truly just garnish. Perhaps it may have been redeeming if they gave you an option of what the side would be, alas no… It looks great, but upon eating the lettuce/ veggies it feels truly lazy, like they don’t understand what they are putting on the plate, it’s cut into impractical sizes. Not to mention, The quality of the veggies was disappointing in itself. One cucumber slice I bit into had spoiled. The cost of this meal is absolutely ridiculous and insulting! You can go to the super market and buy all the ingredients (bagels, lox, & cream cheese) for around $16 to assemble it yourself. That dab of cream cheese you see in the picture is from me, I had to put my own cream cheese on it ontop of the lox unless I wanted to completely deconstruct the bagel (again impractical.) This should be a $6 dollar meal. It makes me question what other ways they take advantage of customers… They are conveniently located next a hotel, which is why I believe they get away with this absurd price. My server was absolutely fantastic in her demeanor. But what I observed in the entire restaurant is stuff are either friendly or they seem inconvenienced by their customers. ESPECIALLY management. In particular I remember and elder lady with long gray hair, she was beautiful but as rude as they come. After experiencing a range of their meals and ambiance I have concluded that I will not be returning and would not recommend them.
