I usually have a good experience here. Things are typically neat despite the place being busy. They employees arenāt overly friendly but pleasant enough. Today however, as Iām leaving the dressing room and am interacting with the attendant and trying to put my clothes on the rack for her to check, when another employee with pink and black hair came up on my right side (which I have diagnosed hearing loss on) sprinting with a cart. I am not sure of her name or I would leave that as well. I originally did not hear her, as I have diagnosed hearing loss in my right ear. I could detect people were talking nearby but I did not see her when I walked out. Iām decently aware of my surroundings and I try not to be in the way so I looked before walking to the return rack. She apparently had asked me to move and I had not heard her 1. Because I canāt hear well on that side and 2. Because I was talking with the attendee. She then proceeded to yell at me to watch my feet while ramming the rack forward. Once I realized she was talking to me I tried to move but I genuinely didnāt have many options on where to go and I couldnāt tell where she needed so I just kind of stopped and looked at her. She then tried to play it off after she realized she practically screamed at me, by sarcastically saying that sheād feel ārealllllly badā if she ran over my feet. She then walked away and continued cleaning the aisles. I donāt expect to be treated fantastic at any department store but I think itās bare minimum to not have the employees take their anger out on you. This truly put a damper on my day and Iām very disappointed with the actions of this employee. Sheās young and I understand it is busy, I have been there and done that, but that was extremely disrespectful and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChanged my 5 star to a 2 start review due to the practice of turning the majority of the lights off 5 minutes before the store is closed (before they made the store closing in 5 minutes page). When you make the drive knowing you'll have enough time to find what you need quickly to just have the vast majority of lights turned off is not appreciated.
It gives a terrible message about the value of shoppers that may have had a long late day and right at the end is the only time they could make it. To have made TJ Maxx the choice after a long day to have the store via their lighting policy say... Nah... We'd rather you had not come to our store.
I'll probably raise my score again in the future as overall this store gives good customer service and has stopped what use to be very frequent pages about the TJ Maxx card. But for now it left a very bad taste...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOf the dozens of TJMaxx, Marshalls, or Home Goods I have been to...this is THE SLOWEST one out there. Regardless of day or time I have been here, you can ALWAYS expect a line at checkout. They never have enough people checking out folks. They often just have employees standing around behind registers too and not checking out folks when there are lines, I just don't get it. Imagine the long lines at Christmas, that is what you can expect here any time you go. I have not purchased things I wanted to and just put them back because I did not want to spend my time in the line. Management if you read these...you need to schedule appropriate staffing at registers, no one wants to wait 20 minutes+ in line there, they will...
