TaDa! Gadget Repair — Local services in Rochester

It's 2022 and yes I still use proudly a Blackberry Key2 and then the unthinkable happens, I cracked the screen. The fear of boring candybar phones comes to mind. Until I met Dave at TaDa! Gadget Repair. He calmly says we can fix it by replacing the cracked screen and since I accidentally stepped on the phone to break it and bent the frame he ordered a combo screen / frame replacement and since we were doing the overhaul a change of battery was done as well. Long live the keyboard for a while longer at least. Dave is excellent at what he does, has a cozy shop on his property and all of this service to repair a favorite gadget didn't break the bank as other services in town have done repairing a Blackberry Passport screen. Extremely affordable, quick and the phone looks as it did new with everything buttoned up nicely unlike a previous experience elsewhere in town that left me with a cracked back simply glued shut. 2024 update. Called for service on same phone. Was told to simply order a used phone on eBay. Said would call back if parts could be found, no call. U break it in Rochester had parts in days and repair done within 3 days. Pretty disappointed Dave.

Update. I appreciate your message Dave. I understand your situation. However i didn't want to replace the phone. Didn't care if the repairs were potentially more than the value of the phone. I expressed that. You didn't get back to me and i prefer to work with you. It just didn't happen so for that interaction alone i gave the star. Imagine this.... Sunday, you try to use your cell phone, only to find that it is suddenly NOT WORKING!!! WTH?!?!

It is at that point in time, that you find how much you rely on that silly little electronic rectangle! You now have no access to phone numbers, your calendar, or even more important, the TV Guide! LOL Seriously, you feel helpless, and lost!

Then you call David, at TaDa! Gadget Repair, and he puts on his cape, and saves your day! I may be dramatizing this a bit, but seriously, turn off your phone for a day! You too will feel Lost in Space (old TV show!)!!!

Not only did David save my day, but he had me drop it off on Monday morning, and he called me in about an hour, so I was able to pick it back up on my lunch break, the same day! And, I was impressed with how fair his price was to fix it!

Prior to calling TaDa! Gadget Repair, I called many other Rochester, MN based Cell Phone repair places, and no one was open yet on Monday morning! I didn't want to wait until 10:00 or 11:00 am, just to be able to talk to them, when they finally got out of bed and went to work! Plus, I wanted my cell phone repaired, ASAP! I was planning to update my phone but did NOT want to pay a fortune for the newest technology or have payments that went on forever. I was directed to TaDa! Gadget Repair and David set me up with a refurbished phone and the power cord, case, and protective screen for a very reasonable price. Above and beyond that he spent time teaching me the basics of my new phone. This included calling me at home (more than once) to check on how I was managing. When I had more questions he was willing to have me come for more one on one until all of my questions were answered. His kindness, patience, and ability to not make me feel bad for being challenged regarding technology were so refreshing.
