We went for the first recently, family of 5. Reserved a bay about 10 days in advance. We arrived (Saturday) and place was very full. We soon realized it was bingo going on. The bay we reserved wasnât available due to bingo. There were people in the bay eating band playing, unsure exactly why we couldnât use itâŚ..but we went to the one next to it instead. We didnât know where to check in when we arrived. Very unorganized. Another family was there, we waited while they gathered things to move. It was about 10 minutes after our reservation time, but we finally were together. There was literally no where to set due to the large number of people playing bingo. The hostess showed us step by step how to change the touch screen to different games. I really appreciate the instruction- Iâm not tech savvy. It was quite easy to do. We did order some drinks and food. There is a pretty good size menu with options for most everyone. Food came quickly and was hot. We selected the large pretzels 𼨠and nachos. They were both very good. The kids especially enjoyed the pretzels. We played a few of the carnival type games. Did t-ball and golf. The golf clubs were only left handed. We are all right. She offered to rent us right handed clubs for $10 đł So I paid for the room, but itâs not fully equipped with everything you need. We were let down. There wasnât a football eitherâŚ..but we just played soccer instead. For the fee of the room- which itâs more of an alcove- not an actual room. I felt there would be working equipment. Overall, it was just ok. The bingo ended as our time ended too. It totally cleared out. The noice level was suddenly much improved. There were places to sit and menus again. We used the online option as none available when we arrived. I wish we would have known about bingo. We could have made reservation for an hour later and had a much more enjoyable experience. It wasnât too busy after the...
Read moreDid not have a good experience from the time we walked in. This is the first time we went being very excited to try it out. We stood at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes and people just looked at us. So we walked up to a table and sat down. No one came to our table to see if we needed anything for another 15 minutes while we sat right next to the bar and we're clearly seen and walked by multiple times. Finally we stopped a server walking by and told them we were new and wasn't sure how it all worked. She said she would grab a server for us and walked away. A guy came and asked what we wanted literally as he walked by, didn't even stop. We moved over to the bay we rented and a family was still there eating and playing. We didn't get to start until about 10 minutes after our starting time. Once in our bay no one came over the entire hour to see if we needed anything. We had to go up to the bar, and even there no one cared to serve us and we stood there a long time. Mind you it wasn't even busy with 5 or 6 employees just standing around. But they were very quick to tell us our time was up in our bay before it was up and brought us our bill. If service was better you sure could make a lot more money and have return customes. Service was the worst I ever had and the bay didn't hardly work for anything we did. It didn't register half of the things that hit the screen. Not sure we would...
Read moreWe reserved a simulator bay on my daughter's 9th birthday for our family of 4. My sister and bro-in-law ended up joins us. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas for the adults to improve our aim. After our hour in the simulator bay we were given the bill. We were charged for the $60 rental and the $20 pitcher which was what we expected, but they added a large party/group gratuity on the entire bill because there were 6 of us. We didn't order anything else requiring a service that a reasonable person would consider a reason to tip a server.
I don't see how the simulator rental should require a tip. There was no service the staff provided over and above the rental fee. When I inquired about the large group gratuity on the total bill the women working was rude about it and said it's the company policy and when I asked if I could speak to the manager she stated that she was the manager. I stated that I wasn't willing to pay the manditory gratuity charge for the entire bill, she ended up removing it and stormed off.
Maybe I'm the unreasonable one, but I think the tipping expectations have gone off the rails. Tips are for quality service, not an entitlement to people in the service industry. We were provided a poor service experience but I still left a cash tip for some dumb reason. Pretty sure we won't go back...
