I recognize that my experience is probably far below average, but I missed the deadline to give Target feedback through the survey on the receipt, and our experience was so deplorable that Target needs to know about it.
A week and a half ago, on a Saturday morning, our infant daughter was prescribed an antibiotic. We went to the NW walk-in clinic and had other errands on the NW end, so we decided not to use our normal pharmacy: Shopko South. When we dropped off our prescription, we were told it would be ten to fifteen minutes for it to be filled. We didn't have any other shopping to do, so we waited next to the pharmacy. After a half hour, no one told us it was filled yet. At Shopko, they call your name when your prescription is filled. We guessed Target must just not do this, so my husband waited in the pick-up line only to be told they hadn't even started filling our prescription yet and had no idea we were waiting for it. We waited another twenty minutes next to the pharmacy before getting back in line to see if it was ready yet. It was ready, but then they told us they couldn't look up our daughter's insurance information. Yes, I know you're supposed to carry your insurance cards with you, but I had just lost my wallet, and I've never been asked to show an insurance card either at my doctor's office or at Shopko Pharmacy, not even when I've changed insurance companies or filled a prescription for a new person. They've always just been able to look it up. Afterwards, I even called Shopko to double check, and they assured me they could have looked up the information. After waiting for nearly an hour, I was fed up and willing to drive to the South end to fill it at our normal pharmacy, but my husband didn't want to do that. I went back and talked to a new person, THIS person told me I could pay for it out of pocket now, but later could bring in the receipt with the insurance card and they'd rebill me.
Problems with this situation: 1) fifteen minutes after we were told our prescription would be done, it still wasn't started, 2) it took 50 minutes to finally fill our prescription, 3) Target can't look up insurance information, 4) the first clerk didn't offer us the option of rebilling our prescription later once we had the insurance information.
ADDITIONALLY, a week later, we find that they shorted us nearly two doses of medication. It was a liquid, so there was no way of knowing ahead of time that we were short. We found out an hour after the pharmacy closed, and won't be able to go in until after work tomorrow, meaning our daughter will at the very least be delayed a full day for her last two doses.
We will never be using Target...
Read moreI recently received new health insurance which Cvs does not accept. Last week a female elderly pharmacist told me that she could not legally sell me my prescription with or Without my new insurance. I reached out to Hy-vee to have them call Target to get my Rxs transferred over to them. Hy-Vee told me that they would call over but that as of yesterday morning they had not been able to get through to Target for another client because Target was not answering their phone. Last night I went to Hyvee about six hours after calling to have the prescription transferred and they still could not get through to Target. So my husband and I drove directly to Target North where a nice cashier at the pharmacy was trying to help us. As we were explaining to him my dilemma the same elderly pharmacist woman yelled to him, not addressing my husband or myself, that she would transfer it tonight and that the cashier needed to get my information, all while taking on a very rude tone of voice. Fast forward to 9am this morning I call Hy-Vee to see if they had recieved the prescription from Target last night which they still have not. Hy-Vee is attempting to get ahold of CVS Target again today but as of right now they still cannot get through. I am currently going through active withdrawal symptoms having not been able to get my medication for several days. This is the worst experience I...
Read moreThis place is absolutely horrible. I needed my medications a day prior, but because they were so busy filling other prescriptions, I had to wait till the next day. Okay cool, it’s next day. I call to confirm my times are ready. They are now acting brand new like they have no idea what I’m talking about. So, after going back and forth he just magically remembered. He says my times are ready to go etc. I arrive here and wait in line. 40 min later I reach the front desk person. They ask my dob etc. they say they need to update my personal account before going further. OKAY WHATEVER JUST GIVE ME MY MEDS! Then, he spends 10 min at the least scanning his bracelet and typing on the keyboard “the computer ate your file”. So at this point I’m beyond frustrated, still biting my tongue. I’m in my phone pulling up my virtual med card for the insurance since that apparently needed to be updated. I’m in my personal photos looking so I turn my brightness down low on my device. I start looking and the guy is hovering me! I tilt my phone away even more. I go to say I have the picture and he says “that right there give it to me” and snatched my phone OUT OF MY HANDS!! Never in my life!! I’ll be staying in Michigan from this point forward because people in Minnesota apparently do not know...
