I'm a door dash driver and decided to take two orders from here the other day. Had a horrible experience. I'm not one to leave bad reviews generally, but my experience was so horrible I felt I needed to share. When a company takes food off my table I can't let it go unaddressed.
The first order was around 4 PM and the store was completely empty. Two people were there besides me but they already had their food. Normally, like 75 percent of the time, the order is ready when I get there or within 5 mins. Nope, not at this 5 guys. They hadn't even PRINTED THE ORDER TICKET YET and the order was supposed to be ready in 3 minutes according to my app. I ended up waiting there for 20 minutes just to pick up the order, which is completely unacceptable especially in an empty restaurant with 4 employees working.
I get paid per delivery, not per hour. When a restaurant blatantly disrespects my time like that, it impacts not just my frustration, but my bottom line and earnings too.
Later that day, I got another order for Five Guys and decided to give them another chance since I figured my last debacle was simply because they forgot to put paper in the ticket printer. I accepted the order and stop at Kwik trip to run to the bathroom first, and arrive 10 mins after I accepted it. So that's already 10 mins of waiting I would have had to do at the restaurant had I not had to go to the bathroom.
The order is for just one burger and one side of fries. It should take maybe 3 to 4 minutes to make from start to finish. I ended up waiting 18 minutes total, on top of the 10 I already wasted at Kwik trip before even arriving. And when I had the "audacity" to ask what was taking so long to make one burger, I got attitude back from the worker.
I will never be coming back here as a dasher, or as a customer on my own time. Simply unacceptable customer service and not how any business should treat it's customers or delivery drivers. I've done over 800 door dash deliveries and have never had an experience this bad at a...
Read moreI'm giving this place 2 stars because I've always had good service at other Five Guys but this one in particular was not good. Unfortunately the staff helping place our order was not very friendly or welcoming. I get it, long day working. Ordered 2 burgers, one with bacon, chocolate shake, and a large fry and proceeded to wait. Or took over 20 minutes to get our food and the place wasn't terribly busy. While we waited, they should our order twice and got others who ordered after it's out first. I had assumed since I ordered bacon in a burger it would take more time to make. Once we received our bag of stuff we asked for a chocolate shake. Apparently they had just added more "liquid ice cream" to the dispenser and the manager started to fill a cup with semi, like warm liquid cream. He noticed it was bad and there it out, proceeded tof fill up another cup and handed it to us. My wife commented on the shake and said how runny it was and was bit near the consistency of ice cream. We've gotten shakes from Five Guys, this was no way a shake. However, the manager then told us " that's how the chocolate shake is after you put the chocolate syrup in it"..... At that point we asked for a refund on the shake and went to go eat our burgers. Come to find out, they didn't put bacon on one of them. So all in all, poor management leading to poor customer service and a poor experience, also trying to tell us luke warn liquid is considered a...
Read moreI should have checked the bag before leaving or I should start writing down orders and let the staff work from there. I was visiting Rochester and decided that I wanted to try 5 guys since they don't have locations in Iowa. I drove down to the restaurant from the hotel to pick up a sandwich for the wife, myself, and the child (which consisted of 1 cheeseburger, 1 bacon cheeseburger, 2 orders of fries, 2 drinks, and one hotdog). You think this would be pretty easy. They hand the order to me and I head back to the hotel. Moments later the wife says: "there are only 2 sandwiches in the bags". My burger simply wasn't there or wasn't rung up. Also considering that I didn't get back to the hotel until just after 10 (when they close) I was SOL.
On the plus side I did get to sample the wife's sandwich. So I had two bites. From what I tried it seemed pretty good. I may try them again but I WILL write down what I want and perhaps go as far as put checkboxes next to the items so they can work their way through the order and get it right.
Oh, and the wife wanted me to add that she did not like the fries. I thought they were okay but after finding that my sandwich was missing I was a bit to upset to sit down...
