EDIT: They gave us a $100 refund, so they have tried to help but it still was a huge hassle. I’m upping the rating because we like the chair, but it was still such a mess and took over a month to get to us that I’m not removing my narrative.
If you want to see furniture, this is the place to go; if you want it in your house, go elsewhere. To be clear, the in store experience was fine. We found a chair we liked and ordered it—paying over $1000 for it in-store.
They told us they needed it shipped to our location so it would take a few weeks. Our old recliner had broken but it was usable (tho likely unsafe) and it’s the primary chair my wife has been using to nurse our newborn. Waiting weeks was not ideal but we understood. Weeks go by and as our delivery date approached we received many texts and calls about the delivery. The day before, we received a message that deliver would be made between 8:30a and 11:30a; that if we weren’t home when they tried to deliver we would be fined; and that we needed to clear space for it because the delivery men are not able to haul away. Because the next morning was trash day, we moved the old chair to the curb after my wife nursed the last time in the day to be ready.
DURING THE DELIVERY WINDOW THE NEXT MORNING, we get a call that the chair can’t be delivered because it’s damaged and they can’t tell us when it will arrive. Our old chair was picked up early in the morning, so I asked if they could bring the damaged chair that we could use in the interim. They said they could not because if we accepted the delivery, the sale was complete. We can’t get any clarity on expected timing after multiple unhelpful calls.
We are in this situation specifically because Ashley demanded we have space clear and didn’t tell us about any issue until the delivery window. It’s ridiculous and terrible customer service. It’s rich they threaten to fine us if we aren’t available during their window but they can call us and cancel in the middle of the window.
We’re moving into a new house later this year and will need all new furniture. We will not be using Ashley and no one else...

I previously furnished my entire home practically with Ashley in 2023 and am a loyal Ashley customer! Today I was coming in planning for my upcoming deck project! I was browsing ONLY and not planning to buy anything! I am a very straightforward customer, can’t be sold on anything that I don’t want, no matter how good a salesman is 😅 so I found it VERY refreshing that Ruben caught on to that early and still spent time with me helping me to plan the future purchase! I have experienced other salespeople who once they feel that the customer is not buying today, they very much just shut off the “customer service”! But Ruben is not this salesman!! He was such a kind soul and great salesman that I had to get something. I bought a beautiful 8x10 rug that was displayed with the full outdoor set that I plan to get soon and will be sure to buy with Ruben ONLY! And also the fact that he speaks Spanish is awesome, and just what Rock Hill needs!! Read moreRecently, my husband and I decided it was time to update our living room. We ate close by and decided to stop in and look. We came across furniture that we really liked and decided to purchase with a reasonable delivery date given. Alex was kind and helpful throughout the process. The problem is once you purchase, things change. Our furniture was delivered but our rug was expected 4 weeks instead of within 2 weeks and Alex promised through text they would move the furniture to put the rug down due to it being separate delivery's. When they got here, they advised us they are contractors and not able to touch our furniture. Also, the day after our purchase, we had to contact our bank as someone from a completely different furniture store tried to make a purchase using our ccard. We believe it was the outlet that Ashley actually picks up the furniture who was trying to use our card an hour away.We only dealt with this one furniture store. Also the charger was broken that was connected to our chair but after all we didn't want to deal with the staff again about another issue. I would think twice about purchasing from this store. They are shady and sneaky here. We will never purchase from them again and we are in the market for other furniture. Too bad we won't be giving them...
