Chick fil la used to be my favorite place to go they were fast , professional, and your order was always accurate not to mention a Christian based company . However, I cannot say the same about the chick fil la in Rock Hill located on Dave Lyle blvd. Their service has by far declined Im not sure it has to do with the employees that they hire or the managers that just do not know how to run a business or if they just don’t care. From the moment I went thru the drive thru I sat there and was not acknowledged the guy was talking to someone else on the mic so I drove up to the other worker who then in turn walked in front of my car to assist the car beside me for their order. I waited as the the employee that I passed to take the order of the car behind me . That was the first issue. Finally he came to take my order I placed an order for a 4 count chicken finger meal with a drink. I waited in line finally got up to the front and I’m waiting and waiting and waiting I see all the other employees carrying orders to cars behind me some big orders with multiple bags some small thinking the whole time to myself how does that even happen if you go by order . While waiting I observed all the workers on the inside mostly kids looking like they have no idea what their doing . The girl asked my name three times and requested my order since I had been waiting there for awhile. I told them they needed to get it together I shouldn’t have to wait while everyone else got their food that was behind me . I don’t blame the kids that work there . The managers should do a better job in training them. There was no consistency, direction or guidance or professionalism that I observed while waiting for my order. The employees outside were congregated at the window waiting as well for the orders to come to the window talking laughing carrying on. It was total mayhem . Chick fil la is getting on the same level as all the other fast food chains which is a shame … poor service, lack of professionalism, slow and incompetent to say the least. I will not be going to this chick fil la anymore to wait in line for Poor service, rude workers, and sub par pricey food …. They all need to be fired...
Read moreThis is the worst Chick-fil-a in the area. They’re always understaffed at least in the drive thru (one - two people taking orders tops even at the busiest times of the day), it’s an easy 20-30 minute drive thru experience, 15-20 inside depending on how the line moves, and I feel like the drive thru staff are so miserable and just seemingly can’t be bothered. In our two years in the area, we have gone to this location maybe two handfuls of times for these reasons. There have been days where they were out of fries and yes, if you wanted anything else, they couldn’t even be decent enough to wave the upcharge. You wait long enough in line to then be told there are no fries, or something is broken or, like today, you over hear the staff at the pick up window gossiping about how someone hid the strawberry topping pump in the most absurd place and that’s why they didn’t have strawberry for half of the morning.
Today was 30 minute drive thru time. Two people working the intake line, one on each side. One lady working the pick up window. Everybody just hanging out and himhawing, zero acknowledgement of how long this has taken. We would’ve absolutely left had we been able to get out of the drive thru line. Loved being 3 days away from giving birth and getting trapped in their drive thru line and couldn’t get out to utilize their facilities.
This is clearly a very overdue review and a lot of resentment towards this location has built up. We always chalked it up to a busy time of day a fluke. No. This is just how this location is. I would rather drive the extra 10 minutes to the one on Cherry Road than ever go back here. And I most definitely will.
The proverbial cherry on time - their lemonade tasted like warm unsweetened fermented lemon water. Literally warm lemon water. No exaggeration.
You know, good on the people trying to get through and do their jobs there. It was so hot today. They looked miserable and were still there serving grumpy...
Read moreGoing through the drive-thru this morning was not a good experience. The greeter at the speaker was less than enthusiastic to take my order and after waiting a while to get to the window, my order was slightly incorrect. I decided to accept it as it was because I was now late to get my kids to school. Then when my son opened his biscuit we noticed that the chicken was missing! What!? So now, I am going to be late and have to walk inside to correct the mistake with kids in tow. I get to the counter and they address the issue just fine, however when Kortney returns with the biscuit, because of the inconvenience, I request the compensation of another biscuit during my next visit. She looks at me like I am insane and just stares! I repeat myself and then she says that "she remade my item" as if to say what more is there to do? After a moment of just standing there she must see that I am serious and then asks me my name. I am done at this point and just decide to leave.
Once I get to work I decide to call and speak with Kortney, the manager, about my experience. She finally offered whatever I wanted but not before letting me know she reacted that way b/c she was just initially stunned that I requested a "free" biscuit and that most people just get their order corrected and leave. Well, after all was said by both of us, I still feel the same way as when I was in the store, disappointed and frustrated by the experience but, unfortunately, more so by the reaction and response than to the mistake. I decided to not get anything "free" because now this was not the point. Hopefully Chick-fil-A is not taking the McDonald's path to customer satisfaction and service. However, after previous experiences that I didn't voice and now this, they are losing favorable points with our family.
(By the way, the lady at the window, Phyllis, is as nice as always and this review doesn't...
