I used to love shopping at Target. Target used to be my go to store for mostly everything: clothing, groceries, holidays, toys, cards. Not any more. I actually avoid the store and go in only if I need to pick up a prescription. Ever since the Rockaway store was renovated it is awful. First off, the new layout is terrible but putting that aside the store is always unorganized. It looks like a bomb went off. The women's clothing section usually has clothes on the floor, the accessories racks are a jumbled mess. I have been so astounded by the condition of the store I have actually taken pictures.. The sunglass displays were empty with some thrown on the floor. Belts and scarves completely jumbled. I went to the Rockaway store to look for dress boots and couldn't even get my cart down any of the aisles. I have never seen such a mess. Same situation in the boy's clothing section. Everything is either on the floor or jumbled together. Then there is the matter of the registers. Since you put in self-checkouts there is only one other register open (2 if you're really lucky). Why would I want to shop in a store like this when there are so many other options? I would much rather go into Walmart or the mall for what I need. Even Marshalls and TJ Maxx are more organized than this store. No thank you. The only reason I would recommend it is that the pharmacists in the CVS are fantastic. Other than that until you get people to clean up the store I have no interest in...
Read moreI was just sitting in Starbucks when it was closed and then there was an announcement that the store would be closing in an hour and to make your way to the check out at 9:00. Right after that an employee comes up to us and then says how the Starbucks is closed and to leave while all the teens there talking and on their phones leave as asked with no problems including me and my friend. But then as we all walk away he kicks us all out one by one.Right after that then he comes up to me and my friend and says that we can not loiter in the store so I walk away to buy something. Then he says “ I'm still talking to you, don't walk away from me” so I walk back and he tells me and my friend that there is a curfew for 8:00 pm. Then he proceeds to kick all of us out for no reason besides the just supposed curfew, what a joke. The most aggravating part was he didn't even bother to ask us if there were parents in the store or not. He just wanted us out. I feel that he should be a little more cooperative because everyone did as told and there was no reasoning with him to do what he did with us. This also gives me more of a reason to shop at walmart which I already enjoy doing over target bad services with a high price on everything very disappointed. Also there is no mention of this on their website and this just happened for no reason out of the blue and...
Read moreWent to Target to exchange some bathroom rugs for a different color we purchased the day before. When we arrived at the customer service desk, the CSR told us there was no exchanges only returns. Signs all over the center read “exchanges and returns”.
We purchased items a day before and needed to exchange for different color but since they only did returns they gave us back our money spent but the item we wanted to exchange was more expensive that day. So essentially we had to rebuy the same items different color but more expensive because they were no longer on sale from one day to the next.
No one offered to honor the price from the day before since we really just wanted to exchange. The manager standing nearby saw what was happening and walked away instead of offering assistance.
Since we used two forms of payment we asked that it all just be put back on a gift card. We drove all the way home and realized that the receipt said that half would go on gift card and the other half would be cash. Well, guess what? She never gave us the cash! We had to drive back 20 min to Target to explain and get our money. Again the manager saw and walked away.
Horrible customer service experience and the store was filthy and...
