So I used to like coming here they do a good job- but unfortunately I have to give 1 star. This is due to the fact the last time I went I brought my brother for a pedicure he was going on vacation, and it was a very bad experience for both of us which ended up with my brother getting a toe fungal infection which will be over a year of recovery and his entire toe nail is lifting off most likely will completely fall off and it’s painful for him. I called to make an appointment for us 2 and asked if there was any availability that day which I was told yes to come in. So we came and sat and we’re told to wait on the pedi station, we waited for over 45 minutes and missed what we had planned afterwards due to how long we were there. If they were so busy we could’ve just came another day if she told me on the phone; they were very hectic that day and had only 2 girls doing pedicures while every seat was taken with clients. I felt bad to leave as the owner is a nice lady and she said we’ll be seen soon, so we just waited. What really got me upset and aggravated was she called her brother to come in and due my pedicure- he was NOT a professional nail tech whatsoever and it was very ovbious. He was in dirty clothes (no offense to him) and had a funny smell which was hard for me to sit comfortably without feeling nauseous do to his smell. I didn’t want to be rude and said it’s fine he can do the pedicure IF he’s a professional which the owner said he is and laughed. Which definitely was a lie because he did an awful job and cleary showed he did not know what he was doing and I felt uncomfortable with how he was touching my feet too much. I was getting a gel pedicure which is not cheap and he was clearly winging it. What really was my breaking point was when he took the plastic liner out of the tub and tried to force me to put my feet back in the water. I said over 3 times I’m not putting my feet in there without the liner that in unhygienic and I could get a fungal infection I went to cosmetology school and we learn how you must sterilize everything use plastic liners in tub due to the transfer of bacteria exc. so I stated I am not putting my feet in there now which he ignored me and forcefully grabbed my feet trying to put them in the tub so I had to yell NO I’m not putting my feet in there where the owner heard me and seemed very annoyed and told him to move and I’ll wait for another tech. So I waited much longer for the tech who was doing my brother’s pedicure. If there were so short staffed that day I don’t understand why she told me on the phone to come in when she could’ve just said there isn’t space today instead of having me waste hours there ruining our plans for later in the day and brining in her brother who cleary is not a professional to do my pedicure which was going to cost over $65. Unbelievable. And then once we left I didn’t notice my brother’s pedicure till we got home but the nail tech filed his entire nail tips down it actually looked painful- which he ended up with a very painful fungal infection he still is dealing with and will take over a year to heal where his entire nail will probably fall off. I feel awful for bringing him here for his first pedicure and he is now dealing with a painful fungal infection now. They clearly must not be cleaning their tools properly and that day was a terrible experience for me, probably worst I had at a nail salon. Another time I went the owner was doing my nails which one of the nail techs went up to her speaking a different language I didn’t understand but she said the word “infection” and pointed to her middle finger which looked terrible swollen and painful and the owner yelled at in their language where she left must’ve told her to go away. So it seems if the own nail techs are getting infections their tools just not be properly cleaned. I used to enjoy coming here but after that experience I cannot return, and I advise everyone to please be careful since it seems their own staff and my brother got a fungal...
Read moreAmazing! I haven’t been able to find a nail salon I really really like since moving into the area, but I’ve never been the type of person that’s really EVER had a salon I consistently went back to because I can be very picky with having bad anxiety, so if I am impressed and don’t feel anxious the entire time, that means the place is definitely good! So, I ended up last minute on a Sunday having some extra time to myself that I didn’t expect to have so I wanted to treat myself to getting my nails done again after almost a year without them done since my daughter was born. I called a spot who had no openings and then I went to google to see who was open/good. I chose to go here because of the high rating AND how many reviews they had while still having such a good rating. They told me to come right over. I got here and immediately the owner sat me down to ask what I’d like and I didn’t know what to really pick since I wasn’t planning to get them done. We talked about shape and color and decided a nice glittery French would be perfect. Mind you, the owner also had to leave in 3ish hours for a party too. She was SO kind and asked every person about how their family is, how they feel, if they like the place so far, and if I needed a drink or candy. Not only was every single person in the salon so incredibly kind, but you can just SEE that they pride themselves on quality and feeling relaxed while there. I was next to a woman who got a pedicure, and I glanced over a few times and I was impressed just WATCHING at how detailed they are in their services. I will be coming back for a pedicure in the next two weeks! After I told the owner how I found her salon, a few other women spoke up to say they chose it for the same reasons! So we ALL got fit in with no issues (entire time I was there, no one waited longer than about 1 minute to be taken to a chair). My nails came out great, they FEEL great, and I can tell they will last! The owner was so thankful that I told her about how well her google reviews are that she actually gave me a few bucks off my service as well. I am truly blown away and will absolutely be coming to ONLY Saigon Nails from now on! Thank you guys for fitting me in last minute and being SO kind and...
Read moreI rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share how disappointing this experience was. I booked an appointment two days in advance for my daughter and her two friends to get manicures for their graduation..we’re also heading on vacation together, so this was meant to be a fun, special treat.
When we arrived, it felt like they had no idea we were coming. Despite me clearly explaining the girls’ ages when I booked, the staff seemed confused about what services were being done. We repeatedly told them the girls were there for manicures, but it didn’t seem to register with anyone.
Each girl was assigned a different technician, and the service quality was wildly inconsistent. My daughter had a bit of dirt under her nails from the playground and the tech didn’t even attempt to clean it. One of the colors she picked was a sparkly green, but it applied completely clear, which only made the dirt more noticeable. She sat still the whole time and behaved perfectly, but the end result looked so rushed and messy. Honestly, she could’ve done a better job herself.
One of her friends said her nail tech twisted her finger while applying lotion, smudged two nails, and then left them that way.. with an actual fingerprint and a dent from the tech’s own nail. The third tech did a better job, but kept stopping mid-manicure to scroll and place orders on Amazon. Super unprofessional.
While the girls' nails were drying, no one checked on us.. not even once. My daughter was the only one given a ticket with a price. When I went to pay, they tried to charge $15 each for two girls, and $40 for the third even though they all got the same thing. I explained that I was told the manicures were $15 each. He did adjust the pricing but the whole experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and careless. The staff was unfriendly, the quality of the work was poor, and I will absolutely not...
