They not answering at all when called to find out manager or regional director manager information. I'm sure corporate will get their information.
Yesterday, when I called before coming in, the lady was nice and seemed more professional than the man who was there. Sometimes, it's the case that individuals with black supremacy ideology can be dismissive. Many men are also very insecure when an obviously confident gay woman comes around; he was looking for excuses and reasons. I called beforehand, and I thought the lady heard me mention that the Nintendo Switch came from Verizon. I wasn't born yesterday, and I can feel and sense when a person, regardless of color, has a slave plantation mentality, or when someone is homophobic or insecure about someone who looks better. All the money in the world cannot improve bad looks ROFL; he looked as bad as his bad attitude, pure reflection literally.
The only reason I was selling was to get rid of extra things I don't need. This ignorant guy had the nerve to say, after I showed the receipt proving it came from Verizon, that it was probably not paid for. I could have shown proof from my Verizon account that nothing was owed on it or contacted Verizon by phone to prove him wrong, but I was not about to beg someone to buy the little game. My money will keep increasing daily as I am my own boss, so I wasn't worried about it; I was just trying to get rid of extra things I don't need.
There have been times I’ve thrown away thousands of dollars worth of electronic items used only once when I should have probably sold them to a pawn shop or similar. Anyway, the ignorant comment from the man with a slave plantation mindset was disappointing. He had a nasty attitude, and do you want me to repeat that, or should I just say I won't buy it? He acted uppity as if he expected me to beg. At that moment, I still thanked the staff that worked there for letting me use the restroom. If someone acts rude like that, I would rather give it away than sell it. Images of full review in...
Read moreI traditionally don't review my experiences but today my soul is telling me to do so .
So obviously things happen and people come on hard times and need to use places like EZ pawn for some extra cash to make it through the week and today I recommended them to a close friend based off the customer service I've received in the past on pawns ,as well as purchases. I must say I am utterly discusted at the service my friend was given by an employee. Sadly she was greeted at the door by a Caucasian male that wore glasses and instead of receiving an apology for opening a few minutes late she was spoken to in a very disrespectful manger . She grabbed the door in attempt to enter when the employee asked her "you can't wait for me to open the door ?". So she lets the door go and allows him to Finnish unlocking to store . He proceeded to walk away cursing and mubeling under his breathe. As she approached the counter she makes the choice to do her sale with a female employee because his attitude is very clear . He the proceeds to go out of his way to pull her back over to his side of the counter even though there was a line of people waiting for service . The gentleman tells her to place the item on the counter that she wanted to sell as of he didn't want to touch it and tells her "I wouldn't give you 5$ for this " . Out loud Infront of a store full of people ,like it's not embarrassing enough to have to be in there to get some help . When he could have simply stated the didn't need the item, or the item didn't hold enough value to be pawned or sold.
This was definitely one of the worst experiences I've ever personally been involved with dealing with this location but I'm hoping they can correct the issue immediately with some proper training on...

I personally have had a very different experience with this location, than many other reviewers. Admittedly, I have no prior pawn shop experience, so I don't have anything to compare it to ... but that being said, I have been to this shop twice in the 3 1/2 years, they have been open.
Both of my experiences were very professional and both times I felt that they were upfront and honest. A few years ago, I sold a gold ring there and the gentleman helping me, offered and followed through with walking me to my car, in broad daylight, it was a very kind gesture, that spoke volumes to me. I truly felt he had my safety at the forefront of his mind - his offer to walk me out, caught me off guard - something I didn't even consider, prior to coming in the store, but was greatly appreciated - if they don't offer, feel free to ask-I'm positive they will walk you out.
The shear fact that many of the employees were the same from 2 years prior, said a ton about the store - they don't have the retail turnover that plagues most retail shops. To me, it showed that the management understood that treating their employees resulted in employee retention thus creating a sense of trust with their clients - major bonus points for them.
Do your research before going into the store (tons of articles online on how to negotiate w pawn shops) and be professional, I have no doubt that you will be treated in the same manner as I have been.
Please remember, that the golden rule still applies at pawn shops - treat people as you want...
