While purchasing a sweatshirt at your store, I accidentally left my sunglasses behind. When I realized my mistake, I promptly contacted your team, who confirmed they had my sunglasses and assured me they would be held securely for pickup. My name was clearly printed on the frame, making them easily identifiable.

Since I had already returned home to Philadelphia, I informed your staff that my son—who had just welcomed a new baby—would pick them up the following week. However, when he arrived, the sunglasses were nowhere to be found. This has caused me significant distress, as these were high-end Maui Jim frames customized with my personal prescription.

I am extremely disappointed by the failure to safeguard a customer’s belongings, particularly after I was assured they would be kept safe. While I do not work in retail, I do work in healthcare, where we take great care in securing any personal items left behind until their rightful owner can retrieve them. I would have expected the same level of responsibility from your establishment.

Just spoke with Abe. She stated that she threw them out after two weeks—$400 Maui Jim frames with prescription lenses. Donating the eyeglass frames would have been a far more appropriate action than discarding them. I’m awaiting a call from the owner.
