Lafayette Hotel — Hotel in Rockford Township

was doing a road trip from seattle to Chicago, so I started to be used to cheap motels.||Since Rockford is a pretty big city, I decided to stay downtown. ||Didn't plan anything, so I picked the closest hotel I saw on the GPS.||Shouldn't have done so. ||the entire hotel since to come straight from ghostbusters. ||rude staff, corridors stink (maybe some guest are cooking fish in their rooms...), rooms are old and dirty, carpet in the bathroom (and below the toilet, which is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen).||Shower desolated, looked like it hardly survived world war 2||water flows brown out of it. Don't even think to brush your teeth, except if you have a really good immune system. ||And all of this goodness for 60$ + tax, which is the same priced I paid the day before for a trucker motel which was way...

The room I stayed in had bed bugs in the bed they were everywhere do not get a room in this hotel unless u wash ur clothes before u leave the bed bugs are serious they bit me and were all over my pillow. The room upstairs had a crazy person in it with a barking dog alarm that he played with constantly and the noise was very irritating and the workers did nothing when I called to complain about it the loud noise they was very unprofessional. The toilet overflowed when I flushed it the tub needed updated the room needed updated don't rent here unless you don't care about taking bed bugs with you when you leave. I swear to god this place is completely infested...

Arrived here on 24 Feb. 2017. My Apt. Is very clean and furnished. Have not seen any type of bugs except the occasional hornet/wasp/fly which come in when I had my window open prior to buying a window screen. Had no problems with other tenants. The staff are helpful and respectful. There is the Mandalay Bar on the 1st floor. Not been in the Mandalay Bar. It is very quiet. I have enjoyed my stay at the...
