I came here for an oil change, tire rotation, fluid check & 27 point inspection. First time at this service department for my GMC Terrain. My Terrain is still under warranty and I only allow GMC dealerships to service my vehicle. I was told my tires couldn't be rotated because they couldn't remove the caps without damage. Never had this issue before at other GMC Dealerships. The company specializes in GMC cars, it's a GMC Service center. When asked to speak to a manager I was told he wasn't available today. Then told I had to reschedule if I wanted them to rotate my tires at my expense if they break the caps because they are only allowed 30 minutes per slot per vehicle. I'm used to the hospitality of vacuuming your floors and putting the service paper mats on top on your personal mats. I didn't get that service either.....when I inquired about it. The service lady representative said, "No, we don't wash cars and vacuum them". I didn't ask for a car wash, I was only concerned about the hospitality I'm used to getting from other GMC service departments, the hospitable vacuuming of the floors with service paper mats. This was the worst service I've experienced with a GMC service department. Lesson learned, first and last time Dieffenbach service department will do service for me. Evidently the service person or people don't know what they are doing. They can't take GMC tire caps off to rotate tires and they specialize in GMC cars and trucks. Atleast they should....it's a GMC Dealership!
After this review, I can honestly say that I was contacted by management and made to feel like a special customer for a day. Diffenbach not only called me at home, but personally came to my job, picked my vehicle up, left me with a 2017 Silverado king cab truck and they serviced my truck. The rotation I was concerned about, they made sure it was done. Not only did they vacuum my truck, they washed it , put a little gas in it and returned it to my job. Now that's making sure you make the customer happy. They didn't have to wash my truck, but I was greatful they did. I have a reversed opinion about Diffenbach service department. I came into a situation needing to replace my 2015 Corvette Z06. GM was doing employee pricing on remaining 2019s and I needed to act fast. This was due to me leaving out of the country in a few days and not returning until the deal is over.
GM's site showed me the ZR1 I was looking for available at Dieffenbach in NC. Mind you, I'm in CA. I submitted my interest and right away got a call from Tara. She explained to me everything about the Vette and I was sold. Their price was even better than I expected and this ZR1 was fully loaded with 3ZR, ZTK track package, special edition Sebring Orange design package, and all!
Since I was in a hurry to take care of this before I left, Tara helped guide me through the whole process and took good care of me. We got all paperwork settled right away, FedEx'd back and forth right before I left, and even arranged covered shipping for my vehicle to be delivered once I returned.
She kept me up to date on the status while I was gone and arranged to have it delivered a couple days after my return. The vehicle was delivered in pristine condition and is one special car. Tara was so enthusiastic through this whole process too and super nice.
I really enjoyed working with Tara and hope to do so again when the C8 Z06 comes out.
