My first experience here was wonderful the lady that took my order was willing to explain the difference in what I thought they had versus what they had. I wanted noodles which they call soma probably misspelled w teriyaki chicken no veggies as my son is very picky but he really liked their food, the portion & price was very good. You can't go to a fast food place & get much for like $9 or $10. My son made 2 meals out of it but most would make one meal out of it. Also my son usually doesn't like the way take out food takes heated up but he was satisfied & asked if we could get some again. The place was clean. The older gentleman well he seemed focused & determined to keep business moving, but my understanding is the Japanese are very focused not very social able but he was working so you can understand he is running a business not a social event. I believe if I wanted rice also that may have been a side thing to order for an extra charge. I was happy...
Read moreMy son's birthday party 11 of us total went to dine in. Food was acceptable but the pricing is kind of crazy I am doing low carb so i ordered no mushrooms no brocolli no carrotts no rice 12.24 is reg price so rice is 1.50 carrots 2.00 mushrooms 2.00 brocolli 2.00 zuchinni and onions are 2.00 according to their menu so i gave them 5.50 food and then they charged me 2.25 for a few onions
and we had water which they charged .25 each
i would have been fine with substituting onions for all that i gave them in creditS
i am not cheap but i dont like to feel like i am trying to be taken advantage of for trying to eat healthier
so most would say dont eat japenese if you are trying to eat low carb
i love to support local businesses the shrimp was good but the steak was way over done and dry
wish they would pay attention to customers not what they cant do is...
Read moreI love their hibachi chicken and rice with mushrooms entree. My wife likes to just get rice as a side ($1.5). She likes to eat it with the sauce they give out in a separate cup, but I dislike it. She'll fry leftover rice up with eggs using coconut oil and its a delicious breakfast. The coconut oil seems to remoisturize the rice back to freshly made (the eggs will be slightly worse than regular scrambled eggs if cooked in the coconut oil imo, but still fantastic with the rice). Doesn't take a lot either. We're not fans of their noodles (your choice of rice or noodles). They posted a sign up saying with covid leaving a food shortage causing a price spike, a total price minimum of $10 is required for credit cards. No idea how that makes sense, but their prices are...
