I had the opportunity to visit Thrifty Produce at the Village Green Shopping Center during an unusually stormy day marked by hurricane warnings. To my astonishment, the store was exceptionally well-stocked, which was a delightful surprise given the inclement weather outside.

As I stepped inside, I was greeted by a calm and organized environment that contrasted sharply with the chaotic weather conditions beyond the doors. The store was brimming with an impressive array of fresh produce, featuring everything from vibrant, juicy fruits to an assortment of crisp, seasonal vegetables. Now this is a rating on Village Green Shopping Center and not any of the shops in there. The person that owns this plaza has let it go to pot since Winn Dixie and T.G.&Y. left there. The place is very run down and the owner will not do anything to fix it. It has leaks all over the place throughout the plaza. Walmart Food was looking to go in there but they couldn't work out an agreement. I mean, SERIOUSLY?? My company was looking to move into there, but once again, the owner would not fix the problems within the building. I believe that the owner should sell it to someone who wants not for a write off but to make a profit. I've seen many good business' leave because they can't get the owner to fix problems. I love this place. I live in Orlando but come here regularly to visit family. On my way home I stop here every time. It's basically an international food store with ridiculously fresh produce variety. Asian, latin, carribean, they cover all the bases. Plus a service counter for prepared food too. You can find some really unique ingredients in here that are hard to find elsewhere. They usually have some deals on meats weekly too. I got a whole slab of ribs like 8$ a pack of chicken drums $4, 6-8 drums in the pack and fat too! I'm a fiend for international sodas and they almost everyone i can think of our some version of it.
