Rockledge Diner — Restaurant in Rockledge

All the good: the eggs were prepared exactly as a person could hope. The country fried steak was on point. Best I've had in some years. The Hash browns were perfectly flavorful. The corn beef hash was perfectly crispy as requested. Home fries were exquisite. The Soda (coke no ice) was nice and cold and kept full. The prices were very respectable. Being more accustomed to South Florida Prices, the entire bill on the huge mountain of food we ordered was sub 28$. The same amount of food in my usual Wedt Palm Haunt would be over 40$

The bad. Corn beef hash had peppers and onions in it.. despite me requesting very explicitly that there be none. Pancakes were sponge like and unremarkable (someone made the batter in large quantity in the morning and mixed it too much I would guess)

Now the real bad.. the waitress (owner?) Had a gaggle of children she was attending To. Including a 9-12mo old crawling under the table.. under the patrons.. to be picked up be her while attending customers... apparently oblivious to the horrified looks of most. A total of five children it seemed.. all below ten were lounging on the floor near the wall outlet and playing on a shared iphone device. Growing up in a family with 5 aunts and uncles on both sides, with more than 18 cousins and all of whom have many children of their own, I'm no stranger to little ones underfoot. And admittedly I'm from the era of riding in the floorboard or back window of my dad's Buick, remembering how fun it was to ping pong around the back seat.. that era is gone and done. I loved the down home feel and the great/amazing food but there are some things that are just not okay in this day and age. If I'm ever around again I'd absolutely love to enjoy the food again.. just dont think daycare and diner is a...

This is NOT THE PLACE YOU WANNA HAVE GOOD QUALITY FOOD. I HAVE NEVER HAD ACWORSE BISCUIT AND GRAVY MEAL EVER. If your in Rockledge Fl and want a good breakfast find the golf course off Barnes there’s a wonderful place to eat there. I’m not putting name of it but we’ll worth the extra drive, and couple dollars more on certain items. FOOD IS 100% better. I ordered from Rockledge diner to go brought it home and was sweet and yellow gravy. Called, returned it for something else and I told them everything her reply was it’s yellow cause of egg. I came into this diner for the first time today. I've seen it for years but only decided to step inside today. I came in with my girlfriend and three other friends. We were immediately greeted with a smile and our server was extremely friendly. I ordered the veggie omelette with extra spinach, an over hard egg on the side, an English muffin, cheese grits, and a black coffee. My food came out very quickly, and everything was piping hot.
