Very disappointed. My first and last experience started online where I ordered a chicken Parm, personal white pizza and a steak and cheese sub. The menu clearly states that the chicken Parm comes with garlic rolls, yet when you select it, it adds $2.00 to your total. Secondly, you are supposed to get 20 percent off your first online order, yet there was nowhere to put in your coupon code. Already frustrated, I blew it off and decided to give it a shot anyhow. When I got there, I explained to the girl about there not having a place to enter the coupon code and her response was a rather snide, "I don't know why, it works for other people." and no offer to fix the complaint. Clearly beyond rude and not what I expected from a brand new restaurant trying to make their way here. For that alone I withheld the 25 percent tip I usually give for take out and gave myself that coupon code.
And now for the food review. I was told the steak and cheese sub(10.99) wasn't bad....but it was made from a steak umm type meat, so ehh, at least he liked it. The chicken Parm on the other hand,(16.99) was awful. Husband couldn't even eat it. He said it's obviously frozen chicken patties just heated up. This came with a salad that consisted of lettuce and 1 tomato...no garlic roll without an upcharge. I had the personal white pizza(14.49) which I will admit was a decent size. It wasn't horrible tasting, it had plenty of cheese and looked nice. But the crust...UGH! DRY and hockey puck hard. It was very hard to bite into. This NEEDS to be served with a side of some kind of dipping sauce or a drink because you're not swallowing this any other way. IMO, Pizza Vola really needs to up their game if they want to last in Rockledge. With competition like Lellos, Baci and Kelsey's offering better food, competitive prices (and no attitude from the cashiers). In their defense, it is a chain store, it is an "express" and they are new here, so staff may still be learning. I hope that they are able to turn it around and wish them luck. Meanwhile, I'll be sticking to Lellos and Back for authentic Italian take...
Read moreMy first encounter with this gem happened during a routine Uber Eats pickup for calzones. The food displayed in the case looked incredibly appealing. While waiting for my order, I had the chance to watch the pizzaiolo expertly preparing food, and the care and attention to detail were evident. The aromas wafting from the kitchen were intoxicating, prompting me to grab a menu. Fast forward to last night, and the memory of that enticing smell and the promise of authentic Italian flavors led my husband and me to finally try their pizzas. Everything I had seen on my previous visit looked so fresh and inviting, and knowing they prided themselves on authentic Italian cuisine, we were eager to experience it ourselves. We decided on their white pizza, a choice that often highlights the quality of the cheese and crust, and we also ordered a side of their garlic knots, a classic Italian accompaniment. To enhance our meal, we added two sides of their marinara sauce and a garlic and olive oil dipping mix. Let me tell you, that marinara sauce is truly phenomenal! It had a rich, vibrant flavor that tasted homemade and authentic â not the generic, overly sweet kind you often find. We were also very impressed by the generosity of the toppings on the white pizza. They certainly weren't stingy, and each ingredient tasted fresh and flavorful, complementing the creamy ricotta and perfectly baked crust. The garlic knots were soft and fragrant, and the accompanying sauces were the perfect additions. We were both extremely pleased with our meal. We'll definitely be returning customers! On my next visit, I absolutely have to try their...
Read moreMediocre at best. We were excited to try a calzone and slice of cheesecake, but neither were impressive. No seasoning, garlic, oil, etc. on or in the the calzone, making it dry and bland. The cheese was still cool in the center. Iâm attaching a photo of it cut in half to show no melting. The top part of the cheesecake was okay, but the bottom portion and âcrustâ were wet as if they were leftovers or had thawed.
Customer service was also lacking. When entering the store and standing at the counter, an employee walked between us and the counter without saying a word until I said, âExcuse meâ as I had to take a step back. The employee then apologized and attempted to be friendly from that point on. I would have let that part go if the food quality was better. Only mentioning it because it was a part of our first impression. I donât think we would try again. Too many other options...
