COQUINA LOUNGE — Restaurant in Rockledge

I called up there trying to find a friend whom I thought was at the bar. I have never called there before. The gentleman who answered the phone asked if I was calling for the bar side and I replied yes. Then he says to me you need to call them directly you call up here all the time. I said sir this is the first time I have ever called this establishment. And I have tried calling him and it’s going straight to vm. So I hear him yell over to what I can assume is the bar tender ask if the person I am looking for is there and she says no. So he gets back on says he isn’t here and as I try to tell him thank you he just hangs up after saying he wasn’t there. I was in the process of saying thank you and I appreciate his help but I wasn’t even able to get that out. So incredibly rude. I have been working in customer service/ restaurants for over 20 years I was completely shocked. If someone is treated that way on the phone I can only imagine how they treat their customers. Wish i could give this place one star. Had a hit and run in there parking lot, and they told police that they don’t have footage for that PARTICULAR hour that my car was hit at. I heard from the bartender that she knew the guy personally and i felt as if she was protecting a regular that goes there from getting in any kind of trouble. The guy waved as he drove off from hitting my car. Also; a nasty rude customer told me not to call the police because we don’t “do that round here” like i am just going to take the damage charges and pay them myself without getting at least a report for my insurance company? I didn't have any food, I went to play pool and I can now say I have found a new place to play pool and drink should I feel the need to, this was my first time here and someone was buying everyone drinks. I never met such a nice group of strangers. That being said before I could tip the waitress for my drink she took a dollar and some change from me without asking, but I let it go because I wanted to enjoy my night and it wasn't worth a fight or my time. The best and only thing is that playing pool is super cheap anyone going to the pool hall on Clearlake stop and try this place out, just don't get your drinks here!!!
