You’d think accountability should be something that just is right? This isn’t a review of just UNFI it’s a review of almost every grocery DC in America. Want cheaper food prices? Want to run more miles and get in and out? It won’t ever happen. These places are over run and over stocked. The lumper service costs are ridiculous but always have been and receivers that drag their feet and only care about their own paycheck along with bad management are very valid reasons. When you charge $254 for a rescheduled appointment, that cost gets passed on to the consumer which by the way is all of us 👍🏼
It’s also not all their fault either. Late drivers, no shows, shady trucking companies and even shadier brokers all play a role in why these places are a total train wreck. Accountability is across the board to everyone. We all want to make money and have a decent life! It’s too bad everyone can’t work together so that happens. Make no mistake..... there is no more all for one one for all out there. It’s every man for himself. As a whole.... of course there are wonderful people out there who work hard and have compassion and empathy for those around them. But in a big picture it’s selfishness. Me first. All about me me me. From the top of the chain CEO at UNFI all the way down to the janitor.
If everyone would realize we all for the most part want the same thing then life would run so much smoother. My suggestions?
When you see your fellow driver struggling to back into a spot, HELP THEM. Those of you that just sit and watch are part of the problem not the solution. Let people merge in. Be kind to the people that you deliver to and pick up from!! It’s not personal! Help each other as much as possible in every aspect of life and I’m willing to bet the 4 and 5 hour waits at grocery DC’s would drop. We all have bad days and bad weeks and bad years sometimes...... try to remember you aren’t the only one on this planet. Your problems and concerns and issues aren’t mine or the lady at the shippers. We all have problems and issues 👍🏼 A little accountability, empathy and compassion can go a...
Read moreThis is actually not a bad place. It’s just a tiny place and there are a lot of trucks coming in at same time that’s y there is always chaos. Come from the w oaks blvd and wait behind all other trucks once u reach stop sign go in the trailer and check in there and then wait in your truck they will call u once they have open dock for you. Yes this whole process take 5 to 6 hours for unloading. They do have nice clean restroom near dock number one. Docks are tight, years of trucking experience comes in handy at this place. No overnight parking at this facility. But go to nearest casino (Thunder valley casino parking lot number 2)they have nice big parking for trucks it’s only...
Read moreThey don't care about small business, only large accounts. We even offered to pick up the order and would order weekly more than required amount if not way over and nobody cares unless you are a huge carrier. We have to buy from third party and they charge us twice as much. We have tried for years and nobody cares and they are only 20 min from our business. Rude and hard to even get someone to call us back. They are just another corporation all about large business. Very disappointed and why sign us up for business account and...
