China King — Local services in Rocky Mount

When I say this is the BEST Chinese food in town, I MEAN IT. My family and I recently moved and STILL make the 20 minute drive to come here to get our favorite meal: General Tso's, beef & broccoli, pepper steak and onion, and vegetable lo mein. No other restaurant makes it with anywhere close to the level of quality they do at China King. Mix it all together and you won't be able to stop eating when you're full. As for the customer service? They'll treat you like you're their best friend the FIRST time they see you, and every time afterwards. If you haven't tried this place yet, you are...

My second visit a few days ago... looking forward to the dumplings because the dough was so light and thin my first visit. Boy, was I disappointed!!!! They were heavy with a thick dough that was hard on the outside and supper chewy. Tried the boneless ribs and they tasted like they had been soaked in salt water, and were dry even though they were swimming in a greasy, watery, red sauce that had no tangy BBQ flavor like at most other Chinese places have with their thick and sticky tangy sauce. Not worth the trip and money spent for leftovers that got thrown away...

I wish I could make a negative star. These people started out great, but immediately went down hill when a question was asked about my order. She was horrible when we went to pick up our food and then when asked why are you being rude and mean she takes the phone out of the man’s pocket to check the order while speaking in their language and rolling her eyes.

The food is disgusting. Bottom line they do not like the people that make up the surrounding community and feel they can throw anything out the door while being rude...
