I recently visited IHOP for a simple breakfast of pancakes, and I must say that my experience left me with a renewed appreciation for being treated as a valued customer by a company that clearly hasn't lost focus on its patrons.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The hostess promptly seated me and my server arrived with a friendly demeanor, ready to take my order. I opted for the classic buttermilk pancakes, and I was pleasantly surprised by the prompt service and the delicious aroma wafting from the kitchen.
When my pancakes arrived, they were exactly as I had hoped – fluffy, golden-brown, and accompanied by a generous serving of maple syrup. The taste was exquisite, and it was evident that they were made with care and attention to detail. Throughout my meal, the server checked in on me, ensuring that I had everything I needed without being intrusive.
What truly stood out to me was the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Despite being a large chain, IHOP managed to create an environment that felt welcoming and cozy. The décor was cheerful, and the background music added to the relaxed ambiance.
Most importantly, I felt genuinely appreciated as a customer. The staff were attentive and personable, and it was clear that they were dedicated to ensuring that every guest had a positive experience.
In an age where customer service can sometimes feel like an afterthought, my visit to IHOP was a refreshing reminder of the impact of exceptional service. It's evident that IHOP hasn't lost sight of the value of treating each customer as a wanted guest, and that commitment shines through in every aspect of the dining experience.
Overall, my visit to IHOP for a simple breakfast of pancakes turned into a delightful and memorable experience. I left with a smile on my face, a satisfied appetite, and a renewed appreciation for a company that continues to prioritize its patrons. IHOP has certainly earned my loyalty, and I look forward to...
Read moreI'm SO disappointed. Two trips ago, we used a $50 gift card. When the server gave it back to us, there was about $12 left on it (I have the gift card receipt stating it had that balance remaining). On our last trip, the server (Alexis) said there was $2 on it?? It doesn't add up. NO ONE has used this card... Therefore, one of the 2 servers STOLE from us. VERY PISSED. I'm also mad at myself because I'm rather certain that we got scammed/dooped/whatever you want to call it. I wish I asked for an itemized receipt (WE DIDN"T GET ONE!!) she told us the price, took the gift card and swiped it about 5 times and then said it wasn't working... so she went up front and came back saying there was only $2 on it??? It saddens me because we were going to give her a nice $10 holiday tip (about a 35% tip)... I hate to say it, because I consider myself a rather good tipper, but after losing $10, I felt screwed over so no tip for her. I love iHOP, and even though this is a rocky mount branch, I enjoy coming to this iHop on the weekend. we will be finding a new spot. I highly likely will not return to this branch.
On the positive-ish side... the wait was not long... they made me oreo pancakes even though they weren't on the menu (however no butter on them...I hate syrup but I hate dry pancakes more and that is what I resorted to...). the sausage tasted odd.. but the eggs, potatoes, and bacon were alright.
On ANOTHER negative note, the host tried to sit us and a wet and dirty booth... I was like "uh can we have a towel to clean it??" and he I guess suddenly realized that there were more than half of the tables empty... we got one that was clean...well... clean-ish...
I suppose that is all I will say... still so angry that one of those Ladies F-d us over near...
Read moreWe went during a normal day, nothing spectacular going on in the restaurant, and received the worst service. Our table obviously was not cleaned before we were seated and no cutlery was placed. When we asked for utensils the server asked "who needs them?" Uhm obviously everyone at the table? Then she proceeded to handed them out on an ask basis. My sister didn't ask for any (she didn't want to upset the server according to her) and didnt get any so she ate her food with her hands. Who does this at a restaurant? Shame on both the server and my sister. The food was mediocre and they kept bringing the wrong items to the wrong tables. Also we ate here 2 days ago and I'm still waiting for our sever to bring us back a ketchup bottle and a1 sauce bottle that actually have product in them. Yes...they were passing around empty condiment bottles from table to table as customers asked for them. The bottles were EMPTY. Why doesn't every table have a full keptchup bottle? Ketchup is .99. Anyway i could go on and on but I'll save Google the sob story. Long story short i didn't want to tip them but my husband did it anyway (he's the hero here i am the villain. I gave an extra star because I'm not as upset today writing this review as I was eating my very uneventful ihop dinner with a fork that I had to request. But if my mood was as bad today as it was after my ihop dinner it would have...
