I have been getting my nails done a long time and from different locations. I have never been so upset over the service at this place. I signed in for new set of gel nails. Girl in front confirmed the same. She even told the male that was there working the same. NEW SET GEL NAILS. Waited 30 plus minutes went to chair. Repeated the service I wanted. He repeated it back to me. Took the nails that needed to come off off. Filed nails and then proceeded to do buff and more filing of my nails. Started to put on a clearcoat polish and I asked what this was and he said a gel polish primer coat for the base. I have never had this before and stated the same. He said that is what they do here at this location. It is mandatory for gel polish. I did I have never had that before. I asked about gel powder and he said it is coming. He gave me colors to pick from and as I was looking through the colors he continue to use equipment as it appeared to prepare for gel powder. Needless to say he got polish I chose and painted my nails the color chosen. I asked what about tips or gel powder he said "not here only polish for gel nails." I said I domt want that I asked for a new full set and it is written on paper. He said ok. And shook head. Female beside him said gel powder and tips and she laughed. I asked AGAIN FOR NEW FULL SET WITH GEL POLISH. he kept polishing my nails. He said "you like " I said he'll no I can polish my nails at home. I am not satisfied and this is not want I signed on paper for or told you he said I "not understand" I paid for the polish because I'm an honest person. But female in front said to change it to what I wanted was 46 more dollar. WTH. While in the place people were charged differently and this is wrong. Also there was a lady eho had some anxiety of taking nails off and the female in from of store (I guess Manager for the day) made fun of her and made comments about her as she walked away from her station and told her harshly to calm down.
People Don go here. I don't live in this area and looked the salon up to have nails done. BUT I would have rather had allowed a 2 year old do my mails as they would have looked better.

I continued to examine the nail because it just didnāt sit right with me and she then smacked her lips fell back into her chair stopped service and asked if everything was alright I again explained that it wasnātā¦she then began to raise her voice and proclaim sheās not a machine and that she doesnāt to the job perfectā¦I in return calmly said I agree youāre not a machine and that you make mistake and Iām simply asking you to fix your mistakeā¦she still refuses to fix my nailā¦sitting there in disbelief at her behavior I allowed her to continue and simply said how about I come back tomorrow and you can fix it just tell me how much because Iām just not satisfied she then said well how about I just take them ALL off referring to the polish on my other nails which to me was unnecessary just because I requested you to fix 1 nailā¦(I do hair for a living so having a chipped nail can bring about issues to my line of work) still yelling she shouts out $5 to fix the nailā¦well if itās $5 a nail that would bring the total to $50 instead of the $88 I paidā¦itās not fair to patrons to have to just accept whatever is giving in exchange for our hard earned moneyā¦if someone isnāt satisfied with the work as a public servant we all should work with integrity to satisfy our customers. I politely asked the nail tech to repaint my toes because her brush strokes were messyā¦.she didnāt allow the gel polish to āsetā in between layers. The owner came over and saw how messy it looked, spoke to the tech in Vietnamese while mimicking nail strokes in the air explaining to the tech what she did wrong. THEN the owner herself repainted my nails for me while her client waited patiently. I thanked the client (for being patient) and the owner (Ms. Wendy) for being so kind to re-do my toe polish āon the spotā. Nothing against the owner, but Iāve not gone back because I didnāt like how I was treated by the nail tech. She said some things in Vietnamese and Iām pretty sure she wasnāt saying nice things about me, LOL! If you get lucky to get Ms. Wendy to do your nails, thatās a blessing. The only thing is she doesnāt do appointments so you wonāt know who youāre getting. Besides, there are other great nail salons in this area. MK Nails is a place that I would recommend! They serve complimentary sodas/water and EVERYONE treats you kind. They take their time to soak off your gel polish and really care for your nails.
