Food Lion — Local services in Rocky Mount

I shop here quite often since it is the closest Food Lion to my home. It is my favorite store, usually very clean, employees are helpful, and I hardly ever leave without finding what I came for. However, now that they have changed the roads it has become somewhat of a nightmare getting into and out of the parking lot! Of course, that is not Food Lion's fault, but I bet they are suffering financial losses because of it (because many are going to other stores rather than deal with the aggravation of traffic direction)! In order to enter the parking lot you have to make a U-turn at the traffic light at the intersection of Hunter Hill and Country Club if you are coming from the westbound lane on Hunter Hill Road. When leaving the parking lot, if you wish to head back to Sunset Avenue, you have to make a U-turn at the traffic light on Country Club Road at that same intersection. These are accidents just...

Came to this location to cash a check at customer service. The cashiers that were there were definitely following the "count on me" procedure. I used to work for this company for 11 years and know atleast that part. The store was tidy and the employees were polite. As for my personal service with my transaction... perfect 🥰 and friendly she was. She told me her name and I only asked because I admired her genuine personality. I know that the time was 14:33:08 from my receipt. The manager has time and time again singled me out for using coupons. The only reason I continue to go back is because the convenience of the location. She discriminates against me. I'm sure I'm not the only customer she treats this way. She treats employees the same. My heart goes out to all the cashiers & other employees that work there when that woman is working.

Other than her the store is great. Super friendly employees, clean and uncluttered. Love how they price compete with Lidls & Walmart. It really makes this location a one stop shop.

The meat department could do better. Everytime I go they are either out of what's on sale or the products...
