I am giving this business ONE star, only because they won't let me post with NO stars. We purchased a table, bench and four chairs, costing four hundred plus dollars. Upon driving to the store to pick up the table, 8.8 miles, because they have a $45.00 delivery no matter the distance. I was told to drive to the rear of the building to the rollup door. Unfortunatly there are two, neither one marked. Finally getting to the door I recieved my table, and drove it home, unpacked it, and brought it into the house. Now keep in mind, we called them and they advised they would assemble the table, which they did. I determined that the easiest way for me to get the table into my kiitchen, was to remove the legs. I began to disassemble the table to find two Allen head bolts, 3/16 and two washers in each leg. In one leg, I found one bolt, only srcrewed in far enough to hold it in place. Not thinking much of it, I removed the legs, got the table in the house and started to reassemble the table. I installed all the legs, and had trouble with ONE bolt. A close examination found the bolt cross threaded and damaged. A call to the store, and they advised to bring it back, and they would replace it. After waiting well in excess of an hour for something that should have taken 5 minutes my wife returned home with what she though was the right bolt. She was told it was the right bolt. Upon trying to install the bolt, which by the way was 'USED', and only had one washer with it. Dark under te table I had difficulty 'Starting' the bolt. What a shock to find, upon a close examination, that they had rplaced the original, with what is most likly a used bolt, with a TORX25 head. The bolt did fit, but does not match. Now keep in mind their store employees originally assembled the table, the most likely minimum wage employees just never bothered to assemble the table correctly. Then when facd with the challange of replacement, they could noe see the difference between the heads of the two bolts. My initial reaction is to file a complaint with the CC company and not pay for the table. This is clearly an 'over reaction' to the situation, but Iam not a happy customer.
It is clear to me, this low end, chain furniture store, hires employees who 'just don't care' or don't understand what 'GOOD' customer service is. So now we wait to determine when we will get the right bolt, and have to make a third trip to the store because their customer service skill suck. Anyone shopping in the Rocky Mount area, should consider an alternative location. I would not spend another dime of my money here, or with this vender, because, 'their customer service is terrible. Iwill shop else where if it means traveling to Wilson,...
Read moreSold my dining table. Said it didn’t have a sold sticker on it. The guy put the sticker on before I left. Said they could order another and gave me a date of March. I called the company they told me the table if ordered that day would be this summer. They don’t know what they are doing. Went in for a refund and I had to call my bank because they didn’t know how to refund my card. Waiting on a refund to show up. Hope I don’t have to deal with them again about my refund. Don’t buy there it is over priced and service is poor. I just got we’re sorry from them. Did nothing to try to keep my business. Go to Hardee’s Furniture!! Great business for over 40 years. Prices are great and so is...
Read moreI was in the store for about 20 mins and nobody greeted me or offered to help. Walked through the store and a CSR said hi and i immediately asked for a manager and she said she was the manager. I then asked for a district manager and she said that she was the district manager. I was in disbelief that four people were sitting behind the counter in the back of the store and nobody greeted me. The woman who said she was the District Manager said she didn’t even see me. That made me even more flustered because she was so far in the back sitting down unable to acknowledge consumers as they walked in. The customer service was despicable and I would never step foot in this...
