If I could give a zero I would. I have been going to this Hallmark store for years because the staff was ALWAYS nice. Today I went in and noticed new faces... ones that weren't masked by the way!!!!! The one associate was nice and kept asking if I was ok but she kept getting close to me in the isle and was not respectful to the suggested 6 ft distance. She also was not wearing her mask all the time. I had coupons which brought me in so I held up the phone so she could scan the coupon and she grabbed my phone instead to look at it... I don't want anyone touching my phone! She could tell I did not like that so she pointed to the hand sanitizer and said I could use it. Then she said "well at least you have clean hands now". I took my receipt and left. I forgot that I had an extra coupon so I went back to the store and explained the situation and the associate went to get the manager. The manager "Julie", if that's her real name came out and asked how she could help. I explained to her I forgot I had another coupon. She took my original receipt and returned the items and then re-rang them and she told me the difference... I was confused because I didn't swipe to get the refund and here I am swiping again to pay more money.... but hey who am I , I don't work there...but I did question her and her comment in a sarcastic tone was "Well if you'd like I could return everything and re-ring it again if that is how you want to see it". "I mean can't you see it there on the screen?" I answered her back with the same tone and asked her what the problem was. I asked her why she had an attitude and then I asked if it was mandatory that all employees wear a mask. She did not respond yes or no but instead said, "Would you feel more comfortable if I put on a mask? "If you do not feel comfortable you can ask me to put one on". I told her I was just going to leave the store but was asking if it was the company's policy. Again she she would not answer yes or no and proceeded to state, " I do not wear a mask because I can't wear one and I haven't wore one at all so far", " I go every where and never wear a mask". Real nice! I know you can't make everyone wear them but wouldn't you think a business would want their customers to feel comfortable and mandate that. And how the hell am I supposed to know who can REALLY not wear a mask. Did Julie get a note from her doctor stating that? I don't know so she didn't need to throw attitude! Hey Karen's Hallmark just wanted to let you know how your manager, Julie treats customers. You lost me as a customer.... I'll only be back if my return doesn't show up on my credit card statement... cause as of now it shows I made two purchases! Stay safe Julie and remember this, " Attitudes are contagious, is yours worth catching?"
After reading the current reviews I will just take a wild guess here and say it looks like the manager Julie is Julie Stephenson who left a review six months ago about herself!

Corporate has reached out to me twice since I reported it to them and they are working on my refund. Read moreI go here once a year for a angel for my mom for mothers day. Whenever I go in I tend to remember why I never want to come back. There's an older woman who works at the store who's always on me like a hawk. I don't know what it is I come in every $365 days for a particular ornament. Today though it tops the cake. I kept noticing her watching me and my daughter very closely while we were there. And unfortunately while I was paying my card was declined so I took out cash which happened to be a 100-dollar bill. She marked it with the pen and then proceeded for a solid 2 to 3 minutes to wait for it to turn a color. She kept holding it to the light and squinting. It got to the point where I was very uncomfortable and frankly embarrassed because the other cashier had helped 2 customers while she was just watching this money. She also couldn't put the ornament back in the box, which they take them out to display and when I went to just wrap it I noticed she completed ripped the lid of the box.

Read moreI was there yesterday shopping 🛍 for my son. As I walked in I said Hi, no response from the older lady with the very short hair. ( Description). She just was mumbling something under her breath & was not happy. So I ignored it and went about my shopping. I was in the 50/70% isle and looking at the blankets. So nice and heavy:) I caught a glimpse of the same lady just watching me & I automatically got nerved. I walked towards her & asked if the blanket was 50 or 70 off? She literally says I don’t know & just stood behind the register with no intention of finding out. Only after I had to corurse her to come & check. Very rude & unacceptable behavior to customers who are shopping 🛍 spending Our money on already Over priced merchandise, that is why I only purchase during sales.
