Central Plaza — Local services in Rome

When I go to Central Plaza, I eat at Duffy's Deli for lunch. I like their sandwiches & salads better than Subway & they're locally owned. The roast beef hoagie is my "go to" choice. In winter I get it toasted & the cheese is melted & gooey and in summer I get it cold or I get the chicken salad, also excellent. They also have great soups, chili and their desserts are to die for! Cakes, pies, cookies, all are awesome! It's one of the few places I know of that has a Caramel Cake, it reminds me of my late grandmother's. I make sure to get a slice when I go! The chocolate cake & pecan pie are also very good too. Two doors down from Duffy's is an alterations shop called Alterations Express. I highly recommend them! Their work is excellent and done in a very timely manner, for a reasonable charge. It's good to know that they can repair clothing, especially when it's a favorite item or something...

Central Plaza has been a staple shopping center ever since I can remember. There are numerous stores & eateries of all kinds. One stop covers most all your errands on your to-do list. If your hungry stop in to Mi Alazan & Duffys Deli. There is UPS, Woodstock Furniture, Dollar General, Plaza Dry cleaners, Over the Moon Antique Shop, Merle Norman cosmetics, Sorelle Beauty Salon & for the men Plaza Barbershop, Magical Travel Agency, Busseys Floral Shop, The Stitchery Sewing & Fabric Shop, Bentleys Audio Visual shop, & East West Vacuum Repair, & Room Service (high end interior design/custom draperies). I only go to 2 places here and that is Anna's Deli and the UPS store. In both of these places everyone is great, smiling, and eager to assist. As far as the parking lot, AWFUL.
