I'm so happy we have this lovely independent bookstore in Rome! I went in not knowing what to expect and immediately felt welcome. I was especially excited to find the brand new book by one of my favorite writers (the historian Tiya Miles - if you haven't read her and are interested in Southern history, you've got to run right out and get her award-winning book All That She Carried). The main bookstore space is just lovely - light, airy and peaceful - although I imagine that can change when there's story time in the kiddo's room! I can not say enough great things about River & Hill Books!! Claire was awesome helping me find the perfect books for my upcoming down time. To make it even better the classics that I chose were beautiful special additions to add to my book collection.
