My review before my furniture was delivered: I didnât even have to step foot in the store Jalin helped me with everything through text and made the entire process so easy and convenient! He was super responsive, professional, and patient as I asked questions and figured out what I wanted.
Jalin made sure my order was accurate, gave me clear updates, and truly made me feel like a valued customer. I appreciated how smooth and stress-free he made the experience.
If youâre looking for great customer service without the hassle, definitely reach out to Jalin at Price Busters. He made furniture shopping from my phone a breeze!
My review post deliveryâŚ
Once my sale was finalized, I awaited contact from Jalin regarding the delivery date. When the original delivery occurred, things seemed to go smoothly until they unboxed my dining table and chairs. The table arrived damaged, and one of the chairs was also visibly defective. I was offered a $200 store credit, which I declined because I simply wanted undamaged furniture not a credit Iâd never use.
The damaged items were returned, and a replacement was ordered. The second delivery was scheduled for July 12th. However, it arrived on July 10th two days early and was left in the hallway of my S.E. DC apartment building without any notice or communication. I had no idea the items were sitting in the hallway for over seven hours. Not only was the furniture left unattended in a shared space, but it was also not assembled as promised. One of the boxes was even open.
Iâve been begging and pleading for someone to come back out and assemble the furniture, especially considering the damage during the first delivery. Their policy clearly states that customers must inspect items at the time of delivery and return them if necessary. That wasnât even an option for me because no one notified me of the delivery. Had there been damage again, I wouldâve had no way to reject it and now, I canât even be sure all the parts are included.
As a business owner myself, I would never allow this level of poor communication and service to go unresolved. It feels like once the sale is made, the customer no longer matters. Thereâs been no urgency, no empathy, and no accountability on their part.
I will not be shopping with Price Busters again, and I will actively encourage those I referred to take their business elsewhere. This review is a transparent and accurate account of my experience. I will also be notifying the CFPB, BBB, FCC, and Attorney Generalâs office because this has gone on long enough with no remedy in sight.
To leave a $2,000+ purchase in a hallway and offer a $200 store credit (that Iâd never use, especially since Iâm not driving from DC to Essex, MD) is simply absurd.
Lastly, I want to mention that Paul Jackson, Head of Customer Service, failed to offer any real resolution to this issue. The only person who showed courtesy throughout this ordeal was Jim from the Essex store. Jim informed me that he would call around to local stores in my area to have someone come out and assemble the furniture. However, Paul Jackson later made it seem as though this wasnât possible at all. The lack of communication and alignment between team members is unacceptable and only added to the...
Read moreI own a group home and Iâve always gotten furniture from the location on Franklin street. Today around 4pm. I called the franklin street location and spoke to a black female and asked for a salesperson. She put me on hold and transferred me to the 25th street location. I hung up and called back I got her again and I asked her to look up my account and let me know if they had the twin beds that I had previously purchased so I could purchase 8 more sets. She asked for my phone number and I gave it to her and she said she did not see the account. I gave her the name of the bunk beds and she said they donât carry them anymore. I asked her if she had comparable beds (all I needed was 8 mattresses, box springs and frames). The woman told me to go online. I asked her was there someone else there that could help me and she said no. I the asked for her supervisor and was told âI am the supervisor and you need to come into the store â I told her I was not near the store and I asked several times for her supervisor and was told â Iâm the store manager and you need to come down here to find what you wantâ I said Iâm trying to purchase 8 mattress sets from you and youâre talking to me like this?? She said I donât care and this ainât Walmartâ I asked her name and she hung up on me. I called back to the store and she picked up the phone and said ânow youâre stalking me, and Iâm tired of you calling here cussing me outâ she hung up on me again. I called several stores 25th street, and Glen Burnie and the employees were not interested in helping me to find the owner of the Franklin street store. I then called the Dundalk store and Mike was more than happy to assist me. I drove to the Dundalk store and purchased 8 mattress sets (the exact ones she said they no longer carried) 2 sofa sets, and 2 dining tables. Almost $5000.00 in furniture. It is sad that the owner of the Franklin street store had this woman that thought it was appropriate to be rude and disrespectful knowing that she would lose a sale for the store. I could also tell that she though it was cute to act that way in front of her colleagues. I was In my office and had her on speaker phone and we were all shocked by her lack of customer service skills. I almost felt sorry for her, because If youâre that angry coming to work just stay home! No one deserves to have you working for them. I will reach out to the owner of the Franklin street store to let him/her know that a sale was lost because of her actions. However things went well with Mike in Dundalk. Oh, I almost forgot to mention there was another younger guy in the Dundalk store working with Mike that was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Special thanks to both of you for all...
Read moreMost horrible experience I have ever had as a consumer. I seen an add for Price Busters and a certain living room set caught my eye. Everything in the picture seemed perfect color scheme wise. It was just what I was looking for! Unfortunately at the time I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I should have read the Google reviews & Better Business Bureau complaints before making my purchase. I paid on the furniture set over about a month period. After paying in full for the furniture I had to then come up with more money to pay for my delivery. I came into the store and was greeted in a rude manner by Pacey (Manager). I told him that I had paid my furniture off and I was ready to pay for & schedule my delivery. Once I paid I then asked the manager if every piece of my furniture set would be delivered to my home. He then told me that everything would be delivered except for my lamps. He said he was going to have someone bring my lamps from the back of the store. This is where things started to go down hill. He asked me what color lamps I wanted, red or green? I was in utter shock being as the lamps in the photo where silver. I then said I didn't want either color I wanted the lamps in the photo. He basically said I was not going to get the lamps because they where out of stock. He said they where never going to be in stock again. At this point I knew I was in for it. I asked him if the coffee/end tables where the same as the photo. He told me to follow him to the back so he could show me the tables. Just as I thought... no they did not match the photo. The red/green lamps he was trying to give me looked absolutely tacky and outdated & so did the coffee/end tables. Mind you I have already paid in full for my furniture set as well as the delivery. I asked him for a full refund and I was denied. I asked if I could have my delivery money back and was denied again. I told him to cancel the delivery and that I did not want the furniture. I was then laughed at by the unprofessional employees as I could hear pacey (manager) say things under his breath. I called the office and spoke to the most ghetto woman I have every came encounter with who told me it was my fault and after she insulted me over and over. Then she proceeded threaten me by telling me that I could "come see her" as if she where going to harm me. I still DO NOT have any furniture and they still refuse to give me a refund. This place is filled with crooks and deceitful employees. BAIT AND SWITCH!!! FRAUD!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Its for your own good. I wish I would have never stepped foot into Price Busters & gave them my money that I work hard for!!! YOU WILL BE...
