I stopped by prior to my doctor’s appointment. Everything was great with the ease of placing an order and the entire checkout process. When I was looking for a seat near the restrooms, where I usually sit, I noticed that there were laminated signs on the tables stating “This table is for team member use only Thank you for your understanding” I also like to mention that there were two tables unoccupied out of the four total in that space when I was looking for a table.
I thought that was a joke or something. I have never been in a Chick-fil-A that had that on their tables in the past, or at ANY FAST FOOD (franchise) restaurant. So I asked for a manager to discuss the table situation. I asked him if I could sit there. He said no, it was for team members only. At this point I realize this wasn’t a joke or prank. A shorten version of the conversation went something like this, I said to him that it’s segregation. He denies that it is. I told him to go look it up in the history books. He kept coming back with a response no matter what I said. He kept escalating the conversation. I wasn’t going to entertain it any longer. I ended the conversation by letting him know that I was going to call Chick-fil-A cares. He nodded his head and we both walked our separate ways.
Chick-fil-A cares took my information and details on the situation. I’m waiting on them to call me back. While I was on the phone with them I took the pictures and mentioned that I will post a google review with pictures so that if corporate wanted to see for themselves what was going on at this location they can. There is not a good email that the Chick-fil-A cares team member could give me to reach corporate directly.
Between segregation, discrimination, or both is what I was faced with today. Absolutely no other franchise has done this in the past in my years of life. I have a strong hunch that it is illegal what they are doing at this location. Especially when I was vocalized that I wasn’t allowed to sit there.
I took pictures right before I left and posted them here after my doctor’s appointment, so that anyone who reads this review will see that I’m not making this up. I even added a photo...
Read moreI am usually satisfied with the food, service, etc, however today they crossed a line with me. I placed an order that consisted of 3 meals. One of which contained a large fry for my wife. The large fry container was filled about half way. She decided to go back in and ask for the container to be filled properly. She was interrogated as to weather or not someone had eaten some of the fries. She said "no." After speaking to her manager the girl came back with a bag, handed it to my wife, said "sorry about that," and my wife came back to the truck. She opened the bag and found a medium fry. I was irritated at this point, so I walked back in, and ask for a large fry properly filled. After talking to her manager, a snarky girl came back and said "here is the remainder of your fries. Someone had eaten them". I said, "nobody ate them, the container was not properly filled." She insisted and refused to give us what we paid for. She was accusatory and esculatory. Extremely snarky and unprofessional and the manager was behind all of it. The fact that they pretended to fix the order and sent my wife off thinking they did! The fact that they accused and assumed someone ate some of the fries to attempt to return and steal a few extra fries! Laughable! And then the sarcasm I received during the conflict! This was the most petty and stupid thing I have ever dealt with at any Chick-fil-A and I am a very long time and regular customer who spends probably a couple thousand dollars a year at their stores. It was insulting, embarrassing, and humiliating for me and my wife to be accused of something so petty in front of their staff and other customers. The manager clearly has an ego and believes he in infoulable. Was it ever considered that maybe the fries appeared full and then settled to the bottom by the time we opened the bag? Or maybe he is not as good at his job as he thinks? And I certainly hope my wife wasn't accused of something so petty because she is a black African but honestly I don't know what other conclusion to come to. You clowns running this store need to get it together and make sure we are getting exactly what the hell we...
Read moreI've been to chick fil a hundreds of times. I even worked at one of their locations for 6 months. I have a great time 99.9% of the time I go to chick fil a. Tonight when I went to this location at eastpoint (where I've been many, many times) and I had an extraordinary experience. First off, the place was busy and the service was super quick. The drive thru was at max capacity and the inside was fairly full as well. I ordered my food, and the cashier was quick and easy-going. She took care to make sure she had done everything she could to help me. Since I ordered a sandwich with extra pickles, I knew it had to be specially made. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, expecting my food to take a couple minutes. I probably took 30 seconds, and when I returned my food had already been delivered, piping hot and fresh. After I got my food was when the real treat started. There is a host here name Emmett (I hope I spelled his name right!). Emmett is the most eager-to-serve man I may have ever met. He noticed I needed a fork for my salad before I did, and delivered one without me needing to ask him to. He was attentive toward my dining needs, making sure my drink was full enough throughout my meal and such, without being intrusive. It was a delight to be taken care of by such a good host. All the while, I watched him pleasantly interact with the other guests ensuring all their needs were met AND keep the whole place clean. The tables that were vacated were cleaned rapidly. I didn't see any other hosts working, but there wasn't a need for one. Emmett is THE MAN when it comes to taking care of the guests. Not only that, but he looked super fresh in his work outfit. Thanks Emmett! You made my Chick-fil-a experience...
