Amtrak Roseville — Local services in Roseville

I’ve driven to Reno on I-80 several times, had sight along the way of the Amtrac train in certain places and thought how cool it would be to ride the tracks. Well, I finally jumped on board. It was fantastic! It gave me a totally different perspective of the magnificent views between Roseville and Reno. Everything was quiet and serene. The train was clean and well staffed with friendly, courteous personnel. The gentleman that announced places and sights of interest was funny and intertaining. Drinks and food was available for purchase. I made myself comfortable in the lookout lounge with a Bloody Mary and enjoyed the stress...

If you have never taken the train up during the winter, it is a must!! Breathtaking views and the Amtrak employees were so kind and entertaining.

For first timers! Walk around the train, we didn't know that you could leave your stuff in your seat and then sit in the lounge area for a while and go eat in the dining carts. It was fun!

The Roseville station is perfect to take it from because it is quiet (no crowds) and there is a platform.
