Edit: I recently picked up my dress from alterations and wanted to leave a review for that. I was hesitant to have my alterations done at David's since I read so many mixed reviews online (not about this one but just David's alterations in general). I decided to just do it there, although, it would be more expensive but it also seemed safer in case anything went wrong. The staff I talked to wihle trying on dresses spoke very highly of the alterations manager (Xiao Shan) so I decided to meet with her to see if the alterations I wanted were possible. Not only were they possible but Xiao seemed very excited to see my vision come to life. I bought a strapless dress but wanted to add straps/a top to the dress and wasn't sure if it was possible or if it would look good. Xiao assured me it was, ordered more lace/applicae that were on my dress and scheduled me an appointment. At the first appointment the lace hadn't come in yet so we just pinned the top to the dress (I bought a long sleeve tulle top since they said it would be a good base and softer than the tulle they had in the back - so glad I did) and the hem and I left my dress with them. The lace took a while to come in (no fault of David's Bridal). I spoke to Xiao on the phone before my 2nd appointment because I wanted to make sure the lace had arrived and she told me it had AND that the top had been finished. She sounded very exicted about it which made me excited also, I couldn't wait to see it. I was blown away when I got to the appointment and tried on the dress. The top was gorgeous and you couldn't tell the dress didn't come this way. They also reinforced the buttons for me and added additional buttons down the zipper line which looked amazing. The hem was still slightly long when I walked but they took the dress back right away and fixed it for me while I was there. I am over the moon with the alterations from Xiao and her team.
Went to 3 dress try on appointments at the David's Bridal in Roseville and I'm so glad I did! My first appointment was OK, I was a bit lost and the attendant (though very nice) was not super vocal and was busy (understandably). My 2nd & 3rd appointments were AMAZING. Kimberly was helping me for my last two appointments and she was night and day difference from my first appointment. Kimberly was super excited to help me try on dresses. I had originally gone back to just try on one dress I liked from my first appointment and Kimberly took the time to talk to me to find out what I liked and didn't like about the dress and she brought out a few other options she thought had the qualities that I liked. She had so much advice and was so attentive. I ended up booking a third appointment to try on one of the dresses that Kimberly had picked out during my 2nd appointment. I brought in backup for some additional opinions. I ended up buying the dress she had recommended to me it was a great option which had all the things I loved from the first dress with some things I did like better. I will say, I booked 2nd & 3rd appointments mid-week in the morning and it made a huge difference also. It was much more mellow and very quiet...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello, let me start off by saying there are many rumors going around in regards to Davidās Bridal and them going out of business. As some stores are closing, this one is not.
I wasnāt going to get a dress from them due to wanting to spend a minimal amount. But we did go there to try on dresses and get an idea. Fortunately for me, I had found the one. It was affordable due to the sales they have going on right now!!!
I want to start off by saying my stylist, Anna (short blonde hair, accent) was phenomenal. She was so caring and attentive and took time with my mom and I in deciding what to try on. The first dress I had tried, I absolutely loved. I tried on a few more and didnāt feel they were for me as much as the first one.
While trying on the one again, we asked for opinions on alterations of what could be done. They brought out the manager of alterations, Xiong (I believe is how it was spelled). She went over everything in great serial and showed us what it could look like and even quoted us (a really fair price)!!!!
In between waiting for the dress to be ordered and come in, I called a few times to confirm my alterations appointment was with Xiong, and was told twice on the phone two different days it was. This is the only con I had shopping at this location due to the fact when we came in, she was not there. I was bummed and asked to reschedule on a day she would be in instead.
With that being said, everything else was just fantastic! Came to pick up the dress a few weeks later, she hemmed it perfectly and fixed the detail stitchings that I noticed needed a little assistance.
The same day as pick up, I was greeted and assisted by Kimberly. She was very nice and helpful in regards to helping me pick out and fine tuning the correct colors I was searching for my bridesmaids.
All in all, do not listen to others experiences until you are able to go in and see for yourself that it is a wonderful experience.
And if you ask me, ask for Anna (the stylist), Xiong (sh-ow) alterations manager, and Kimberly another stylist. They will take care of you to no end!
I would post photos of my dress but the wedding is not for a while! So no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSadly I did not have a good experience bridal gown shopping. I had previously gone to Davidās bridal to look for bridesmaid dresses and didnāt have a great experience either but I thought maybe it being a bridal appointment this time would be better and Iād be helped more. Well I was wrong. My MOH and parents did all the work. I could look past that honestly, not having my stylist around to help zip me up or even pick out gowns, I had to ask multiple people to pull the gowns I wanted to try on cause we couldnāt find my stylist. I got over that part, I just said okay they arnt very accommodating or caring fine. But the thing I wonāt get past is the fact that at the start of the appointment we pointed to a dress on a mannequin saying I wanted to try on THAT dress which actually was my size. The stylist got that dress but in a different color and a bigger size that was so big we had to try to clip it to get the actual look and even brought out the seamstress to pin it even tighter⦠when I said I needed to try it on in the color I wanted to begin with she went to go find it and it was on another bride⦠so we waited cause she said that bride was thinking about buying that dress off the rack. That bride did. So I didnāt get to try it on. Didnāt get to see what it would look like on me. And that was THE dress. I left empty handed and defeated. I didnāt even get a sorry or anything. It was simply a lack of caring and professionalism. I wasnāt going to write a review but I want other brides to make sure to stick up for yourself and make sure you get what you want. Cause months later Iām still thinking about that dress and wished I wouldāve had a stylist who listened and did everything to make the experience what...
