My first visit at a Joe Randazzo and it unfortunately wasn’t so great. Spoke with a few employees for assistance and only two out of five smiled.
What happened to friendliness and customer service?
I purchased a Mum and found one specific that I liked. I asked for the one in particular because it had a nice shape but mostly because it had a dangling flower. I’m unable to lift it myself for it’s too heavy and I have some restrictions due to cervical signal injuries.
The worker called someone to move it for me and didn’t communicate with him at all. She just pointed and told him to move it. I specifically told her I liked the dangling flower and she didn’t care to mention it.
The guy who moved the mum ripped off the flower with force. I already paid for it so I just had him load it in my vehicle anyhow. I mentioned that I liked the dangling flower and I wanted that specific mum because of it. He just laughed at me.
I know I’m being particular but I was nothing but kind and to be treated like such is unpleasant.
The store also was not very clean and I noticed fruits being handled poorly and just falling onto the ground without any care and just being placed back up for sale.
I’ll never come back here. I have half a mind to return the mum. I don’t want to give this place my money if they treat plants and people so poorly. Plants have feelings too. How would you feel if someone just ripped off a body part from you? And they overwatered the mum. It’s not likely to do well. Mums typically take about two inches of water per week. Overwatering plants can lead to root rock, fungal growth, and even plant death.
I’ll definitely be returning the mum. Don’t buy mums from...
Read moreI really like this place but today i was really upset during my visit. I didn't have much time but i wanted their fruit packs. I waited in line patiently just like everyone else. Their were like 3 lines. I could hear employees complaining one was leaving them. I guess it was the persons lunch. To my surprise i learn when i make it top the front of the line its the person running my line. So they were able to communicate it to each other loud enough for me to hear but not for me to hear so that i could pick another time. The momenti put my products down the lady at the register put something down and told me that she's not taking any more customers in that line. I went and put my productsback. Im not sure if that's a management problem where they're not offered a way to inform the customers the line is closed or if she just decided at me that i just look like the type of guy she doesn't like or if she just didn't use the process to inform but it was very upsetting. I still really like that store. I did really want that fruit but i felt mistreated. I also told the person i was with i would be quick. I had people get into lines behind me. If someonesimply informedme that the line wasn't open i could have goneto another. The line was not shorter than others. It was simply the line i chose. I wish they could create a system to inform customers when lines are ending so that we don't have the problem. I would like to reinforce this is a great fruit market and I'm just upset. Read moreOn Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 12pm, I went to the Randazzo on Gratiot in Roseville to purchase a case of collard greens. Over the phone (I called Detroit Outer Drive location and Roseville), I was told that a 25lb case of greens was $18. I went to the Roseville store and the case was only 21lbs. When I asked the store manager for the 25 lbs, as I was told over the phone, he would not make the difference and told me that if I did not want them, I didn't have to buy them. I then asked him, "wouldn't it make more sense to honor what you told the customer and maintain good customer service?"...... Interesting, he responded and said "not to me". I told him that I would not be shopping at Randazzo any longer and would be sharing my experience. He did not seem to care. This could have all been resolved had he put four more bunches to get to the 25 lbs as advertised. I called Randazzo FOUR TIMES and was told every time, 25lbs for $18. To top it off, when I left the store, I reached out to the corporate office and the young lady that answered the phone was just as rude as the store manager. I asked to speak to someone in management, she said she was the person. I asked what her job title was. She said she was director. I asked director of what, and she couldn't tell me. She then said I did not have to buy from Randazzo. I was too out done..... NEVER seen such poor...
