Checkers — Restaurant in Roseville

This is my favorite Checkers for two reasons: the Olive Burger with cheese and the Mushroom & Swiss burger. The other Checkers in the area do not serve these and they are really good. The seasoned fries are served at all locations and are also very good. I go here regularly and until recently have had very good experience. The food is good and the service by the human staff is excellent. Which brings me to the reason for missing the fifth star. The AI order taker at the drive thru is junk. In years, I rarely had a wrong order but since the AI, I've had several. The staff at the window are nice and fix things but that's not until after getting a receipt or the wrong food. The AI doesn't get the order right, doesn't repeat your ordered items back, doesn't list the order on a screen so there's no way to know it's wrong until you get to the window to pay. Except for that, this location is 5 stars all the way. The human staff and food are great! Special note for people that drive big trucks - the drive thru lane is VERY tight. They closed at 11:00 PM on a Friday night which is bad enough but... We got in the drive-through line at 10:47 PM so we thought we would be good to get food but after they took the order of the car in front of us a guy came out and put a box over the drive thru speaker that says sorry we are closed!!!! There were like 10 more cars in line behind me and most of us were stuck cause you can’t get out of line once you’re in it. I said to the worker that they should have come out and stopped people from getting in line if they weren’t going to serve them and he just said “sorry , we are closed”. I am a manager at a retail establishment and it would never happen that right at the time we “closed” we would walk around the store and tell the people in that they couldn’t buy their stuff and they had to leave - we would give service to the people that were there up to the minute we closed and anyone that came after the closing time we would explain that we were closed. I will NEVER come to the location again - the management there is horrible and so is their...

☆& there's a 6th star because even though the line was VERY long & they were EXTREMELY BUSY, the staff here took my order & NO ONE there had ANY sort of bad attitude...actually it was in fact the opposite! They were polite & friendly + they worked quickly, kept the line moving & got everyone's food out very fast.
