Real Taco Express — Restaurant in Roseville

Long review, but neccesary. I'm 5 months pregnant and was driving, saw their sign, and decided I really needed to stop. When I came in to order food, I had no idea what to get. The woman taking my order was so kind and patient and recommended a few options. I decided to get the 3 taco combo with birria, carnita, and steak. We had a little pleasant conversation, and then I got my carryout order. When I brought my food home, I saw that I had accidently been given the wrong order and I was pretty bummed. My husband immediately offered to go get the right order and called the restaurant. Right away they knew what mistake had been made and apologized profusely. They promised to remake everything fresh for us to pick up. When my husband picked it up, the woman who had taken my order said, "I would not have been able to sleep knowing she got the wrong order". They ended up giving me my original order, a freshly prepared order, as well as a bag of chips and salsa. I literally died and went to taco heaven. I can't share enough how thoughtful the staff were, let alone how hard those tacos slapped. Every single bite was delicious and I am so grateful for how much care they showed a crazy pregnant lady. Thank you Kevin!!! We had ordered Plaza Mexico and our order was cold and wrong. It was inedible and they said if I didn’t wait to bring it back in morning even with pictures of it being messed up. They would do nothing. I was not allowed to add home things to try to make it edible.. I had two kids to feed and have been working my butt off 13 hour midnight shifts. I felt so bad 📞 by Taco express right before closing…I expressed that to Kevin. He listened to my story. Was empathetic and patient and let me tell you. The food was so fresh, hot not cold and absolutely fantastic!!! Kevin you were my savior tonight. To the cooks you made a girl living off coffee and protein bars for a week’s palate so happy and fulfilled it could be my last meal and I could die happy. Thank you!!! Corn was money. Fresh cheese, cilantro & Tajin & a juicy wedge of lime. Utensil also in the bag, thank you.

Single taco was good. I absolutely loved my burrito. Tender, perfectly seasoned Carnitas, fresh rice, refried beans, cilantro & onion all stuffed in a wrap and toasted brown to melt the cheese and seal this beast up so you can eat with one hand while dipping it in their unique red sauce.
