If I could give this Macy’s store zero stars, I most certainly would. We picked out and purchased a cloth sectional couch on September 4, 2021. We were “promised” by the sales lady on that day that we should expect delivery sometime in December 2021. If there were any known delays, she would contact us or we would receive e-mail notifications/updates. It is now the middle of March 2022, we have called and been back to the store numerous times and always get the runaround. Our latest visit to the store to talk to the actual sales lady who originally helped us, left us feeling disrespected as she was not courteous at all. In fact she was very sarcastic. She not once apologized for the delay or lack of communication. She supposedly called the manufacturer while we were there and told us that the delay was due to the manufacturer running out of the material. She said it would be 2-3 weeks more before shipment. We frowned at her information and she said “what’s 2 more weeks, it’s already been over 6 months”. We just received our “first” e-mail from Macy’s regarding our purchase and ETA. It has now been pushed out to May 2022 for estimated shipping date. When we ever do receive our couch and it is actually what we ordered, WE WILL NEVER SHOP AT MACY’S AGAIN (both furniture and department stores). We have bought furniture from Macy’s over the last 35 years, but this absolute lack of customer service is pathetic. But my recent experience with Macy’s furniture has been so bad that I feel compelled to warn other customers. We will never again fall for the false assurances by Macy’s salesman and customer service. We purchased the Jaspene cream colour leather three seater sofa and a matching Jaspene two seater sofa in August 2020. We were told that our two seater sofa would be delayed and would arrive on 10/18/2020. The salesman Gary at Macy’s Roseville Furniture store assured us that it might even arrive earlier than expected. Now it has been almost 6 months. We have still not received the second half of our purchase despite making multiple calls to customer service who have put me on hold for long periods only to tell me that has been further delayed and ‘might’ arrive in March 2021. So now we are stuck with the one three seater cream leather sofa which we bought in August 2020 but are still receiving emails from Macy’s in January 2021 saying they don’t know when the second half of our purchase the matching two seater will arrive? Found on sale, incredible price, and Sam the sales associate was wonderful during purchase. GOOD THINGS END HERE! Long, and almost unbelievable story short...Macy's completely screwed up two delivery attempts. Two different days over a two week span, me taking a vacation day on the first try, my wife changing all of her plans on her day off, and adjusting the kids schedules for second attempt. It was like we were on some candid camera program and it was staged so Macy's delivery group would be incompetent, and Macy's consumer care would be comical. We were lied to (multiple times) and treated terribly. If I filled in all the gaps, you would read it and not believe it could happen. Trust me, these guys are HORRIBLE. While Macy's pushed for a 3rd attempt on a delivery, we declined, and I will spend more wasted time going down to get a refund for a chair we wanted badly. How stupid right? It is! But, no way do I want to be a customer of such an incompetent company who disregarded my family, and future buying ability (we are still looking for kitchen table, bedroom set, etc.) We won't be future customers...
