I have only ever been in your store twice , today was the second time. I have an elderly friend who wears a foot brace and was looking for a shoe that would fit over it. The first time we came in a few weeks ago and Jeno offered to help us almost immediately. He was patient while listening to our needs and very helpful in finding a shoe that fit , long story short, very helpful , purchase made . Today 5/13/22 we returned to possibly exchange or return the shoes her Dr advised to get a smaller shoe. I walked my friend over to an available seat and I went to find help. An employee , older lady with short, short gray hair and glasses looked at me held her finger up as to say " I'll be right with you " and a moment later she then asked how she could help me and I proceeded to tell her what we were looking for and about the possible return. This is when she started to give me an attitude I guess because I had two requests ? She asked if I wanted to take care of the return first and was very rude and I felt rushed. I said I had to ask my friend if that's what she wanted to do and she didn't like that . Upon my return 5 seconds later a young man asked if he could help me and I said yes and before we could reach the check out counter she came over to male employee and totally ignores me and says to him " she doesn't understand , this is a simple return and I don't need the credit card, she doesn't understand. I stopped and told her I do understand . The whole time I felt like "what is this lady's problem " ? Aren't I the customer and is it not your job to perform good customer service ? Which this lady was clearly not doing . She had , had enough of me I guess and handed my receipt to the young man and rudely walked away. I am pleased to say that this young man displayed great customer service and we left your store as satisfied customers. Maybe that lady could use some retraining from her younger peers. I did not get our helpers name but he had brownish blond hair in a ponytail and glasses. The time was about 2 :00. It really is an awful feeling when when stuff like this happens . Upon reading some of the reviews I guess I'm not the only one who has had similar experiences with rude staff . Thank you...

Just getting around to updating my review. I was in the store in early March of 2018 hoping the staff would redeem themselves and I was pleasantly surprised. I needed to return a pair of sandals I'd purchased earlier in the year and they were very accommodating. The staff member who helped me was very patient and attentive. He turned me on to Olukai casual shoes as well and I ended up buying two pair and enjoy them both. I suspect I'll be paying them a visit again soon to check out new offerings from Keen since they're still one of the only retailers near my home who carries a fairly sizable number of Keen's.
Nice new store...same bad experience.
I've been in the New Roseville Location twice. Once the week before Christmas and on January 3rd (2016). Both times I went in with the intention of buying shoes. After finding a couple I wanted to try on (holding both in my hands) I tried to get the attention one of the numerous sales associates (two of whom looked me in the eye and walked by me without so much as asking if I needed assistance) I came to the conclusion they really weren't interested in my business.
Previously I visited their store when it was located in Har-Mar Mall and my experience was similar in some respects. If you didn't know exactly what you wanted immediately upon entering the store it felt like the sales staff wasn't interested in helping you. I also find them over-priced and a bit too absorbed with the idea they have the market cornered on various brands of shoes when it's really not the case. I want to like this store but I find it hard when they boast about expertise and service but don't...
Read moreI went to a podiatrist today for some foot pain I've been having recently and the doctor recommended that I purchase some high quality walking shoes. After doing a little online research, I decided I'd like to get some in-person advice from a knowledgeable source and be able to see and try on different options rather than making a blind online purchase that I might later regret.
I've always heard great things about Schuler Shoes and realized that there was a location not too far away from me in Roseville, so my son and I hopped in the car and off we went. We were greeted at the door by their friendly staff and I was referred to Danielle, who was absolutely AMAZING! She took the time to listen to my needs, measured my feet, and recommended several options in terms of brands, features, styles, support, price, etc. She was very understanding, helpful and knowledgeable and took the time for me to try on many different options in various sizes.
I bought one pair of Brooks shoes and now have my eye on another pair of Hokas for my next purchase. I truly feel like you get what you pay for and I left a super happy customer and can't recommend Schuler Shoes enough. I'm excited to start wearing these new shoes, as I know they will make a big difference in how my feet feel at the end of a long day of walking and standing. Excellent work, Danielle! I'm happy to leave...
