My family and I visited this restaurant with my two small children (3 years old and 1 year old). The manager was very rude at the beginning when seating us and when I asked for a booth instead of a table he told me no and walked away. I took my family to the booth myself and while we were all deciding what to eat the manager came over to our table leaned across the table and my 1 year old son and proceeded to scold me like I was his child. After he caused a big scene on the right hand side of the restaurant he told me he would seat us at another booth. So we got up and I started following him with my son in one arm and the highchair in the other hand when the manager jerked the highchair out of my hand and placed it back in the stacked like of hightchairs. He then talked to me as if I was totally dumb pointing at another booth and said we could sit there. I said ok and then he proceeded the attack me again with his words. I told him the issue was resolved could we please not make another scene and to please drop it. He continued to scold me as if I was a child in front of other guests, my family and my two children. Finally I asked him to hush after the restaurant on the left hand side of the building (including staff) was looking at us by this point. He kept on and I finally told him to,please shut up and then he told me to shut the "f**k up and get out" and that me and my family had 2 min to get out before he called the police! Being in total shock from a "manager" using this kind of language and threatening a customer especially a female customer is unacceptable on so many levels! I will absolutely NOT ever revisit this restaurant! I even called corporate will standing in the restaurant and they were in total shock that a manager would even think to do or say something luke this to any customer. I'm really hoping the corporate makes it right bc all that manager did was lose a party of 5...
Read moreI recently dined at your Roswell, NM location (store #1555) and was extremely disappointed with both the quality of the food and the lack of customer service. I am now particularly concerned about my health due to being served undercooked fish. I arrived at the restaurant around 10:40 AM and placed my order shortly after. Approximately 10 minutes later, our server, Laura M., returned to inform me that the original item I had ordered (Bourbon Bacon Jam Eggs Benedict) was unavailable. She brought me a menu, and I chose to order the Fisherman's Platter instead. Once the food arrived, everything seemed fine until I realized I had eaten a piece of undercooked fish. It had an unpleasant taste and a strange, slimy texture. To confirm, I cut into the second piece of fish and found that it, too, was not fully cooked. When the waitress noticed we had finished eating, she brought the ticket to the table without once asking if everything was satisfactory. After showing her the undercooked fish, she simply took the plate and said she would remove the meal from the bill. She later returned with the updated ticket, and that was the extent of the interaction. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled, and I am now feeling unwell, likely due to consuming the raw fish. This experience as raised serious concerns about food safety at...
Read moreOf all the chain restaurants in Roswell NM, IHOP is about as good as it gets. Run, don't walk away from Denny's, and as for all the 'local flavor', well, good luck if you can consistently find someone open M-F at 6-AM to actually cook breakfast (though some do, most are 'revolving management doors', where the great food and service you got last week has come-and-gone by next week). In Roswell, IHOP is consistency for quality, good service and decent order-accuracy. Truly, it is more a 4-star, than a 5-star restaurant, but I get sick of 'tourists' giving 1's and 2's to restaurants in Roswell, when their expectations come from $200 a meal restaurants that actually aren't that good, either. We don't have those in Roswell (we don't even have a White Castle, be for REAL, tourists!). We have a dozen franchise restaurants here, five of which are 'walk-in, sit-down', and two of those are honest 'breakfast franchises'. So, at 6-AM, take your pick, IHOP or Denny's? Denny's is a biological, accuracy, service disaster, CONSISTENTLY. So, do you want to cook for yourself, or go to IHOP for clean, accurate, consistent food? I thought so. STOP RATING so LOW, tourists - or get off your wallet and BUY A FEW...
