Tony's Fresh Market — Local services in Round Lake Beach

2 years ago left 1 star review, Once again today 10/10/2023 leaving ONE star review. Store is staff seems like clearly don't want be working with negative customer service skills. I waited at deli department for over 20 minutes for someone help me ( I was one of two customers standing there) But worse part of shopping here Tony's offers open food/fruit/hot food bars for customers pick n bag take home. Today seen children taking fruit out and eating from fruit bar and mom smiling at them like eat up kids free food ( sure she didn't pay) It get better watch mexican lady walk over to hot food bars and was licking the spoons she used to choose her items. Then grab couple BRQ chicken wings and bag couple grab couple and started eating them with huge smile on her face. She then licked her fingers and made choice once again grab more chicken out bin and eat them. Real wish health department was in store so many code issues would close down all the bars. I spoke to employee that told me not his problem but would get a manger. I then stood there watch him walk away go clock out put his jacket on and leave. At that point made choice to push my cart with at least $300 in dry food products to side and leave. Drove over to Jewel Foods for better service and ended up spending $400 plus maybe next time Tony's Second thought NEVER...

Garbage meat, rotting vegetables ridiculously high prices but a decent cold salad section. But I am not spending an extra hundred dollars on a full grocery shopping visit just to fill someone's pockets. I can save hundreds at meijer, such as that place is. But meijer has the best meat and it wont ROT as soon as I bring it home like everything from Tony's does. Worst of all, I am writing this because I just had my LAST STEAK from Tony's. I bought two big thick Ribeyes with decent spinalis on each, barely, and once again, yet again, a lousy tasting steak. They just buy the cheapest meat. These cows must be terribly treated and abused. Tony's buys the cheapest rancid meat they can get. And their vegetables are always on the cusp of going bad. I waste so much food from that place. I shop at Sunset, Marianos, and Jewel and know what I am paying for and what I am getting. Sunset being the most expensive but the best all around, Marianos being expensive for no good reason, and Walmart having the biggest selection. But meijer has the best meat in terms of quality. Tony's? THE WORST. So, bye bye Tonys. I am done wasting money and eating rotten bag salads from you guys. Plus, your hot bar is like three times the cost of Marianos per lb and they have much better food. No...

Watch the prices. Absolutely horrible how they have a sign that says on sale and then over charge you. There was a cut meat priced different. I brought it up to the rude cashier, who likes to throw the food after scanning. (She made a prior customers food leak.) She had to clean it up.

I even took a picture of the flyer and all the meat cuts under that sign. And I told the cashier, these are supposed to be on sale. She didn't pay much attention the until the end. Then we had to wait again for the supervisor to go take it to the butcher. Then comes back saying it's only for when buying from the butcher. Then why the hell does it say $4.99 on the coolers with the prepackaged meats. They didn't price match. They wanted me to go back to the butcher and get new cuts. Then why have a sign that says it's on sale. Yes these on sale but not these prepackaged, even tho there's a sign.

Have been disappointed with this location every time I come. I would understand if it was the wrong item. But it's not. It was the exact same cut. And it was already packaged. Horrible HORRIBLE customer service. And I wonder how many people have purchased and we're...
