SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED, I CAN ADMIT BEING THAT CUSTOMER THAT COMES IN MINUTES TILL CLOSING IS FRUSTRATING TO STAFF.... I CAME IN SOOOO EXCITED TO GET COFFEE & JUICED UP WITH GOOD CAFFEINE TO PUSH ME THROUGH THE REST OF THE NIGHT I WALKED IN AS 2 CUSTOMERS ARE WALKING OUT, THE 2 GIRLS BEHIND THE COUNTER CONTINUED TO TALK TO EACH OTHER EVEN AFTER I GREETED THEM WITH "HELLO" THEY LOOKED AT ME & KEPT TALKING WHILE YOUNG GUY SAID "HI" I INQUIRED ABOUT THE COST OF THEIR $5 COOKIES THEN DECIDED I'D LIKE TO TRY SOME, I ASKED THE YOUNG GUY WHAT WAS THEIR STRONGEST COFFEE & WAS TOLD THE ONLY ONE THEY ARE SERVING IS NITRO. SO I ASKED WHAT DO YOU MEAN? HE SAID WELL WE CLOSE IN LIKE 5 MINUTES. I SAID OH OK WELL NEVERMIND LOL HE WAS I MAKE YOU SOMETHING I WAS THATS OK ILL JUST GET THE COOKIES THEN.... AS BAD AS I WANTED THEIR COFFEE I WAS NERVOUS THAT IF I GOT A DRINK IT WOULD OF BEEN RUSHED NO GOOD SINCE IT WAS OBVIOUS SERVING ME WAS NOT WHAT THEY WANTED TO MIND YOU THE GIRLS ARE NOW STANDING BEHIND HIM STILL ENGAGED IN THEIR CONVO.. I WAS DEFINITELY SHOCKED AS I WOULD OF THOUGHT CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULD OF BEEN A CONCERN. PROCEEDED TO PAY FOR THE COOKIES BUT WAS TOLD I'D HAVE TO PAY WITH A CARD.... LOOKED AROUND FOR A SIGN THAT SAYS "CARD ONLY" I SAW THE LITTLE SIGN BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE SEEN IT WHEN WALKING IN ((BUT MAYBE THERE IS I JUST DIDN'T SEE IT)) NEVERTHELESS I DIDN'T GET THEM AS I LEFT MY PHONE IN MY CAR & IF I'D WENT TO GO GET IT THEY PROBABLY WOULD OF LOCKED ME OUT LOL. Read moreLet me start by saying I love Summermoon. I've been drinking Summermoons for over 10 years and have been to ALMOST every location in Texas. Plus, their merch is one of the few companies I will wear because I like them so much. It's my favorite coffee place in the entire state!
That said, I've been going to this University location ever since its opening in 2019 because it's the only one close to me, AND it is the ONLY location that makes Summermoons incorrectly. There was a time a couple years ago where I said I'd never go back to this location (...but it's the closest!)
I've been going back for the past year. However, HALF of my orders have been made incorrectly. I order autumn moons every time, and it's as if the moon milk is missing or it tastes like nothing. Why do I keep going back? It's the closest, IDK.
"Couldn't you try your order before you leave?" I could. But shouldn't I trust that what I'm getting is correct? I've NEVER had a wrong order at any other location. It's also too hot for me when I get it at the counter, and I have to let it cool down before I drink it. By that time, I'm in my car on my way to work. I've also been given iced coffee when I've asked for hot coffee more than twice. :/ When that happens, it's usually so busy, and I'm in too much of a hurry to take it back. I also ordered a 12 oz the other day, and when I got home, 1/3 of it was missing. MAYBE it was too foamy(?).
TL;DR: My order has only been correct roughly half of the time since it's opening in 2019.
If your only Summermoon experience has been at this location, I recommend trying a different location,...
Read moreI work at a hospital, and we put in our large coffee order (12) the night before to celebrate our 2 nurses for nurses' week. We ordered our coffees to be ready by 640am, which would allow us to get our nurses' coffee gift set up before their arrival at 715am. When my employee arrived at the shop at 641am she overheard one of the employees say "Don't worry about getting that order done by 640am because they're usually late anyway so we can work on other coffees instead". My employee mentioned that she was there to pick up the order that was supposed to be ready. It took over 20 minutes to make the order. Then they only had 10 drinks made, my employee mentioned that she had missing drinks and was met with "no, you only ordered 9 drinks" my employee said " well the order is still wrong because we have 10 drinks here but I know I ordered 12" My employee had to go back to her car, bring the coffees that were already made back into the store so they could figure out what was missing. They had someone else's drink in our order and misplaced the other 3 tickets so the remaining 3 coffees never got made. Needless to say, she finally left at 705 am and arrived at work 15 minutes late with room temperature coffees.
