Passed this shop today while driving with a friend and I was reminded of my poor experience. Hopped online to see if others experienced what I did, and I am not alone! I went here about a year ago and the place was a mess; if you can envision the show âHoarders,â thatâs what it was. I noticed an expired Walmart brand shampoo bottle on the shelf and I wouldnât be surprised if it were half-empty, for instance. Many people refer to the owner as friendly in the positive reviews, and yes he was very talkative, but I wouldnât say friend-like. Though he was not rude us when we visited, as soon as we entered he began complaining about other previous customers. Very unprofessional. Nothing was priced, but judging how he spoke of other customers being unwilling to pay what the items are âworth,â we didnât dare ask the cost of anything. Though, if he really values the âvaluable antique chairsâ he is unwilling to discount for the Weber State students donating their time, money, and efforts towards a charity event, then he really shouldnât leave them outside to be damaged in the sun and rain. Nor should he be smoking in them. He also complained that the upstairs was a mess because people would go up there and trash the place. Well, trashy places invite trashy people. We left empty handed, vowing to never go there again. Iâm an avid thrifter and always willing to pay what something is actually worth and support local small businesses, but this place is not somewhere you want to go. Go support some shops on 25th street instead. His comments on the one star reviews speak VOLUMES to his professionalism and character. Please steer clear and be...

You can dust, organize shelves, sweep, and mop every night after closing just like every other store does. No itâs not impossible. You say that you are better than competitors, but you havenât proven yourself.
Responding to all of your negative reviews by saying that customer is always the problem and then proceeding to insult them- doesnât reflect well on you like you believe it does. It creates the impression that you are in denial and you are unwilling to listen or improve your business out of stubbornness. Everyone makes mistakes, but the issue is your reluctance to accept criticism. When multiple people consistently provide the same feedback, it's you who becomes the problem, not them.
The 1-star reviews may have scared off some shoppers, but your responses likely scared off 500 more. Your behavior is similar to "Amy's Baking Company" Episode from "Hell's Kitchen," She also couldn't handle criticism and would yell and insult customers who complained, just like you. This led to the downfall of her business. If you truly care about making money, be careful how you...
