LoLo Hawaiian BBQ - Roy — Restaurant in Roy

I am shocked at all the 5 star reviews of this place. If you arrive less than an hour before closing, don't expect to get the right food, decent food, or ANY FOOD AT ALL.

I told myself after my last experience here a couple of months ago that I'd never come back to this location. That visit consisted of showing up 40 minutes before close, quickly ordering, then sitting in the drive thru for almost 20 minutes... It was just over 18 minutes if my memory serves me right. I saw NOBODY inside through the window while I sat in my car. I drove off saying "never again". This was following my prior visit where the food was just "so-so" at best. Both times, I was the only one in the drive thru.

Well, I was in a hurry tonight and passing by right around 30 minutes til close. Ordered quickly, waited in line for about 10 minutes (again unacceptable wait) and got all the way home to discover I clearly got someone else's order.

The quality of my mistaken meal isn't even that good.

I guess third time is the charm for teaching me a lesson. And I'll go out of my way to never...

This is the worst place I have ever gotten food from the chicken was hard a dry and just cold and then the mac salad was disgusting it was so thick of mayo and whatever else it had an absolutely no taste in it whatsoever I do not know what you guys did to it but I am just sad and it was supposed to be buy one get one free and it's still ended up spending 32 dollars for two many plates mix to meet there's supposed to be 14 something this is ridiculous I am beyond outraged I cannot even believe that you guys are still in business I hope I hope that the owner of this establishment gives me a call back or you guys seriously looked at this review before you ever go to the store this is the worst location with the worst food and it is disgusting at best I'm I know that business depends on reviews and you know what you guys don't this is terrible I cannot even believe that I even have to write a review about this house sad that you are taking people's money and you're okay going to sleep at night when you serve food like this sad sad sad when America...

I love Lolo but this was our first time at this location. The building didn't have a big sign, but it was easy enough to find. Just make sure to ask for the sauces that go with your meat choices -- this location doesn't include them automatically for some reason. We got ours to go and didn't realize until we were home we had no teriyaki for our chicken and no katsu sauce. I always keep teriyaki around, so that was fine, but I dont have katsu sauce at home so it was definately missing an element and dry.

I also noticed the portion sizes are far smaller at this location than the other in West Valley. It's still plenty for one meal, for sure, but it's something we both noticed.

Overall I would come back but I want to try Dakine Grindz on Roy first. We would have went there but they're closed on Sunday so we went with LoLo. They have good food, but this location seems chintzy not even giving you sauce,...
