The guy at the counter was racist. I'm black. He gave me all kinds of problems and laughed in my face because I was upset. It was my birthday at that! (May 23rd) And I told him so! He didn't think it was me on my ID which is absurd because I'm 23 and I visit other liquor stores often. I've never had a problem or a question about my ID. So he asked did I have any other form of ID. I said I had my debit card so he looked at it and the names clearly matched!!! Then he asked me to write my signature on a napkin. I'm horrible at cursive so I always just scribble the letters. He said the signatures didn't match and he couldn't give me the liquor. I figured he was racist and just wanted to give me a problem because if he ACTUALLY DID think that my ID was fake then he was supposed to follow protocol and call the police. I couldn't believe all the trouble I was being put thru while the other WHITE people in the store were being helped without trouble. I was the only black person in there but I'm no hoodrat. I'm a nice, well kept, well behaved, well spoken, polite, and, intelligent woman so the only reason I could think that I was given trouble was because I was black and this guy seemed to be enjoying the trouble he was putting me through. He smirked and laughed the entire time. He wasn't the old gray haired white guy. He was young with white skin but dark haired and ethnic looking. I asked to speak to the manager. He lied and told me he was the manager so I said I wanted to speak to whoever was over him. He then said that the manager was out of town at the time. I asked for a number where he could be reached. He told me I could look it up. I told him no I wouldn't and that he was going to give it to me. He then gave me a piece of paper with the store info on it. I took it but I didn't leave. I pulled out my phone and pulled up my Facebook live where I happen have quite a few followers. I told them what happened and not to come to this location. They were upset too. I went back out to the car and explained to my boyfriend everything that happened in there. So he went in to try to sort things out. My boy friend is half white and he looks more white than black. He went in and came out literally 2 minutes later with the liquor. Apparently, the guy had given him no problems whatsoever. The whole time I was there, I just so happened to be the only one that was given a problem. I am very upset about the whole experience and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! Deplorable (literally, I bet) service!!! I would give it less than 1 star if I could. I won't...
Read moreI live around the block from this store and I go there often. Great service! If you want it Wilson and his great staff is more than willing to make it happen. The selection is without a doubt the best in the area and the prices are very fair. I've combed over the reviews and some people complain about the cost of items here and all I have to say is you get what you pay for, amazing selection, amazing service and amazing location. If you want "cheap" this isn't the place for you. You don't come in here for 40s of colt 45(all though they have it) you come here for great beer, wine, and spirits and a knowledgeable staff that can guide you...
Read moreThey have a very large selection of all sorts of drinks. The beer selection is extensive, they also have a lot of wines available. They also have just about any liquor you could be looking for. Also, if you're in a jam, they have most of the essentials that you would need from the grocery store. With all this convenience comes a price though. The pop is extremely overpriced, and so is the beer. Even when comparing them to other liquor stores...
