I don't leave reviews often, but after two perfect visits with my wife and our toddler, I want to tell everyone about this place. Great location just outside of downtown. Convenient street parking. Nicely maintained interior, cute design, thoughtful touches like fresh flowers on the tables. Comfortable atmosphere, even for a kid. Nice, sturdy furniture Simple, but well-rounded menu. Well trained, polite wait staff. Good, fast, attentive service. But the food. The food is what makes the experience. Everything is hot, straight out of the kitchen to your table. It feels like someone made your food specifically for you to thoroughly enjoy. Like they truly care about making it perfect for you. I had chicken strips my first visit, my wife has a chicken strip pita, and my son had mad and cheese. We were all so happy with our food that we didn't do much talking. Portions were significant. Dressings are homemade. The chicken strips are perfecty seasoned, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The Mac has a lightly smoked tasting homemade sauce, and big curly noodles. Delicious. Yesterday, my wife got a Greek salad, and I ordered a burger and fries. Her salad was great, with homemade pink dressing. My burger was perhaps the best I've had in my life. Perfectly seared with texture on the outside, but with a substantial soft bite. Cheese was perfectly melted, and the burger was loaded with pickles and grilled onions + a homemade American sauce that brought the whole sandwich together. Not only will we be back to try more of the menu, but I can't wait until we are.

I’ve been hearing about this place since before it even opened and had been meaning to try it. Today, I finally went for a late lunch with two friends visiting from out of town—and it did not disappoint! Our drinks and meals were fantastic. I ordered the avocado salad, and oh my gosh—it was beyond delicious. The homemade Greek dressing (the pink kind, which I personally think is the best) was absolutely phenomenal. Our server, Molly, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. We sat out on the patio with my puppy, and she went above and beyond, keeping water refilled and even bringing a treat for the dog. The atmosphere was great, the service excellent, and the food outstanding. Highly recommend stopping here! My family is already obsessed with this restaurant—I even bumped into my mom while we were eating because she was there with her group of friends.

This is a great location, and we’re glad to see something open and have a nice patio nearby. We live walking distance which is so nice. We’ve ordered takeout a few times and have dined in—both experiences with the food have been solid. The chicken and dumpling soup was especially good, and our patio dinner was enjoyable. However, I was disappointed to see an added “takeout fee” of around 10%, which feels excessive. We love supporting local businesses and prefer ordering directly rather than using apps like DoorDash, but added fees like this make it harder to justify. If there's truly a need to cover takeout costs, that expense should be built into menu pricing. Customers calling in and picking up food aren't creating extra work beyond what's already in place—you already have a phone line and takeout containers on hand.

“Sometimes you wanna go Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came You wanna be where you can see (ah-ah) Our troubles are all the same (ah-ah) You wanna be where everybody knows your name”

Cheers!

Love this place! Great food, great people, and great drinks. The people who come to this place come back over and over, and they bring guests who come back over and over. That is a true testament of a very good establishment. I patronized a restaurant last weekend that I hadn’t been to in 7 years, and I probably won’t go back for another 7 years. I would go to Fourth Street 7 days a week, but unfortunately they are closed on Mondays.

Please, Royal Oak neighbors, continue to show support for this small, family-owned business which employs a lot of local students. They are a great addition to our community.

In terms of food:

  1. Chicken dumplings soup is always a hit. Comforting and delicious. And it will probably get me through the next Michigan winter.
  2. The carrot cake is top tier. People who like tres leches love Gina’s tres leches.
  3. The hand battered chicken tenders are the best I’ve had. They make their own ranch, but the chicken tenders are 100.
  4. Chicken Nachos - I’ve had them 3 times now. They make their own tortilla chips so They are nice and fresh.
  5. The burger is also great. It’s a burger that you can get with potato chips or French fries. The fries are great. I ordered coleslaw on the side and it was delicious, but beware it might be a little sweet for some people.

Nothing felt or tasted greasy, which is amazing.

  1. Hot chicken sandwich lunch special - yum
  2. Chicken parm and Marsala are tasty - I’m not a huge fan of the bucatini noodles they use. I wish they used some regular spaghetti noodles or angel hair pasta as an option. I would prefer spaghetti for chicken parm, and angel hair for chicken Marsala personally.
  3. Grilled salmon - my friends loved the grilled salmon without complaints
  4. Mushroom risotto was also enjoyed by my friend
  5. The Bronzino was not a favorite as it was dry, but you have to consider it was a carryout order and I don’t think fish travels as well.
  6. Chicken wings - I personally enjoyed the chicken wings at the bar and the hot sauce they have concocted. It is a perfect buffalo sauce for me spice-wise. There is a creaminess to it that cuts...
