Cool Pines Music — Local services in Ruidoso

Jesse, the owner of Cool Pines Music, was very nice and gave an estimate upfront of what it would cost to repair my guitar. When I picked it up, it was not only repaired, but and cleaned and polished as well.

The store has a small but nice variety of instruments. Some are high-end; so are a few of the amplifiers. There are also a few reasonably priced beginner instruments.

There are mandolins, several guitars both electric and acoustic, I believe there were four bass guitars, and quite a few ukuleles. There are also some effect pedals, tuners, and many instruction books for all instruments.

I am not positive, but I think there was some drum equipment. I am sure that there were other things that I didn't notice while I was in the store.

Cool Pines has a large selection of used vinyl albums, and some 45's.

The owner, Jesse, is very knowledgeable about different instruments and equipment. He will take the time to explain to you how something works.

The store is located inside the Mobil Lube building across from Dollar General. It's hard to find but well worth the effort. If Jesse isn't in the store, there is a button you can push to notify him that you are there.

There aren't a whole lot of instruments, but what he has is of good quality.

There are several acoustic guitars, a few electric guitars, bass guitars, ukeles and mandolins, a few effects pedals and tuners, strings, etc. He has quite a few instruction books and tablature. I thiink there was some drum equipment as well.

There is a whole wall full of vinyl records for sale (used i believe, i didnt look closely).

I recently had Jesse repar my guitar, and I felt that the cost was reasonable for the work that he did.

Over the past years, visiting and living in Ruidoso, they have either repaired or replaced things we’ve asked for. I’ve purchased quality guitars, fiddles and violins (do your own homework for the difference)!
